Hysterical.
Of course, there's an incredibly likely possiblity that Streisand has NO IDEA who Paul Ryan is, and if she did, she probably wouldn't be cheering, irrespective of how much practical sense Ryan makes.

She just honed in on the word “radical” and assumed it meant her world view.

Considering that Streisand is the baseline from which all intelligence should be measured, who gives a smelly Obama what comes from her one-celled brain?

Yeah, well when Obama runs in 2012, we’ll see who Streisand and Brolin throw fundraisers for.
Can’t tell you how convinced I am that it’s going to be someone we support. /s

Or, Streisand suddenly realizes that as a fabulously wealthy person she is a top target to pay for Obamanomics.
Giving her the benefit of the doubt, she is more American than Obama.

Depressing, but fantastic, Streisand told me afterward, rendering her verdict on the session. So exciting. Wonderful! She was talking about the buffet.

Maybe she is just too dumb to know that the hell the speaker was really talking about.

I really liked Jonah Goldberg's assessment of this over at
The Corner" Alas, I've always gotten the impression that a faint breeze would be mind-blowing for Brolin, but still. Interesting."
To: OldDeckHand
Mrs. Brolin has actually been to wrapped up in carefully annotating her forthcoming critical edition of the Complete Dramatic Works of William Shakespeare, so she may not be up on the details of this Paul Ryan fellow’s background.

Barbra Streisand is been and probably always will be a Clinton supporter. She may raise money for Obama but her heart and soul are devoted to Bill.

It's finally sinking in that Obama is coming after HER wealth.

I am considering another take. What the Republicans usually advocate is a crappy Democrat-lite. I often wonder that anybody can actually get behind them. If people are presented with the exciting radical truth their eyes might just be opened. that is if they are not totally evil. ABout all the GOP ever offers is let’s just cut the rate of growth and cut taxes. Who can get excited.
Give people a PRINCIPLED vision that doesn’t pull any punches and we jsut might save the country.

This was greeted by hearty applause from a crowd that included Barbra Streisand and her husband James Brolin. Depressing, but fantastic, Streisand told me afterward, rendering her verdict on the session. So exciting. Wonderful!
Brolins assessment: Mind-blowing.
This would be interesting and funny if we could assume Streisand and Brolin actually understood what they were hearing. Instead it's just kind of sad. I'd guess their view of Ferguson's speech would have been far more negative if it hadn't been delivered via an American accent rather than Ferguson's Scottish accent.
