That’s be a good point, what would happen to the ocean eco system if all sharks were eliminated?

Domesticated hybrid of a Jungle Cat. Looks like a lynx with a long tail. I’m surprised they are legal. Like crossbreeding a dog with a wolf.

Here in FL, they feed gators in the ponds behind their new home then complain when the gator crawls up on the lanai and eats fido.

RE: Clint Didier

Rush wanted to know who are "they."

Look up Klamath Falls, Rush.

They are 1960s Marxist-Alinsky street/campus rabble and their ideological issue masquerading as environmentalists (Watermelons, green on the outside and red on the inside).

They want to "bring it all down, man;" destroy America and "restore" this continent to the way it was 500 years ago. America no more.

I hope to live long enough to see 'em hanging from lamp posts.

There is a black one at this regular feral cat sanctuary in Wellington, FL. Unfortunately, it doesn’t get along with other cats and does not meow. It Growls like a jungle cat. It’s friendly to being petted by people though....Nobody realized it was a chausie for almost a year!! Its still there...they have to feed it separately with it’s own bowl as it will go after the others....it’s beautiful!

The one I saw was brown and extraordinarily big. I first saw it from the back and thought it was a fox because its hind legs were so long and ears so tall with a long tail. Then it turned and looked at me and it had the face markings of a cougar, except much smaller of course, but what I really noticed were it's really tall ears. I don't know if it's feral but no one of my neighbors have ever seen it so I assume. This is what it looked like only bigger.

You know what? Now I think it was a real Jungle Cat, every pic I look for a Chausie is much smaller and shorter ears. I assumed it was a Chausie because I didn't think people owned Jungle Cats as pets and see that they do. And every Jugnle Cat I look up on the web looks exactly like what I saw. Holy carp, are they legal?

What I saw was much larger and longer ears. It was definitely a Jungle Cat. I called Animal Control and they transferred me to Maryland DRN who confirmed they are here. They said they are coming down from the mountains looking for food along with black bears because of the drought. I didn’t know they lived in the US but apparently they do.

The one in the photo above the ones I posted is HUGE! Hell, I wouldn’t want it mad at me! Somehow I don’t think a Chausie would look at regular domestic cats as friends and cousins, but would look at them as DINNER!

I wonder how Jungle Cats got here? People import them try to domesticate them and they get loose I guess. We had black bears a few blocks away a couple years ago and we live in uber Suburbia.

I assume they are brought over as kittens or otherwise smuggled by immigrants.

There are so many different kinds of cats that are really wild cats ...serval, caracal, bobcat that purposely or accidentally breed with house cats and people keep them as pets. So many kinds you really can't tell what you are dealing with until you get close and pick up a clue.

Yes, you can get permits for them almost everywhere....even the purebred wild cats like I mentioned. I was surprised to learn how many servals, etc are just in Boca Raton!
