La Reconquista — the politics of ethnic conflict
Hernando Today - Tampa Tribune ^ | May 23, 2010 | John Reiniers

Many Mexican immigrants, legal or otherwise, see themselves as part of a process of retaking the United States that once was a part of Mexico. Recent Mexican law permits dual citizenship which tacitly supports this notion.

This objective is aptly described by Jose Ramos, anchorman since 1986 on Noticieros, a Miami news program on Univision cable network, also seen in Mexico and 13 other Latin-American countries.

Why Borders Matter…..

The Mexican people suffer from a condition that I call Misplaced Nationalism. It’s only ONE of the reasons that they are still a third world nation while having the great fortune of being located next to the largest economy on Earth. The other reasons are for another post.

Yes… this is a RANT. But please be patient, I will explain.............

Misplaced Nationalism - A good example of this: Antonio Lopez de Santa Ana. The Mexican “HERO” of the Alamo. Santa Ana was, to start with, the "President" of Mexico. He then threw out the Mexican constitution, which guaranteed rights to ALL people in Mexico, and declared himself Dictator in 1833. Santa Ana was, actually, an egomaniac that fancied himself to be a combination of Simon Bolivar and Napoleon all rolled into one. But, hey, you know Mexicans. They LOVE their macho men!!

He embarked on a ball kicking tour of Mexican provinces that dared to rebel against him. And several did. After tiring of kicking the testicles of his blood countrymen, down in Old Mexico, he decided to travel up north to Texas and kick some balls there. And his army went happily along. It seems that some Mexicans ONLY love to kick balls in large groups like gangs, cartels or armies. Anyway…. back to the story….. in Texas, Santa Ana, had some initial success at the Alamo, but then got his own balls kicked real hard by a smaller force of much better ball kickers called the Army of Texas. That force was led by a REAL nut buster named Sam Houston. Santa Ana had killed the defenders of the Alamo, practically, to the last man. However, Sam Houston graciously allowed Santa Ana to surrender at The Battle of San Jacinto to avoid the same fate. Santa Ana was allowed to leave Texas with what remained of his army. He did and never returned. And thus was born The Republic of Texas.

Texas was, by-the-way, the ONLY rebellious province to actually gain independence from Mexico....... The others, down in Old Mexico, knuckled under to the ......ball kicking......they got from Santa Ana.

So the next time you see a Mexican-flag-waving.........MEXICAN........at a rally, who is holding a sign, bitc#ing about the land "stolen" from Mexico......

Ask him if he would like to go ball kicking in Texas?

The MORAL of the story is this..... When you go kicking the balls of your own people, you better be ready for the consequences........... those COULD include revolution and lost territory. Texas might still be a part of Mexico, had it not been for the stupid and macho actions of the guy they now think of as a national "HERO", Santa Ana. It’s the actions of a MEXICAN that created the border where it is today. Not the Texans. Some day Mexico will face up to this reality and accept it. But, probably not soon.

Ask the British. They know. They had THEIR balls kicked not once but TWICE by the “provincials” in America. But the British are not bitter about it TWO HUNDRED years on. They DON’T PI$$ and cry about America being “stolen” from them.

(Presidents need to remember the consequences when they go around kicking their own folks balls...... That goes for ALL Presidents... HINT.

Hey Mexico... It’s called a B-O-R-D-E-R. Our ancestors paid for it with their blood. Deal with it. And…….Remember the Alamo!!

It was Mexico on the maps.

The Cheyenne, Comanche and Apache et al. kicked the frijoles out of the Mexican attempts to hold it.

Yeah, except:

1. We have American politicans who pander to these people
2. We have Mutliculturalism and PC that enables their ambitions
3. We reefuse to enforce our immigration laws.

In short, why WOULDN’T they believe this is possible? You’d have to be a fool not to.

The Mexican reconquista will be done through sheer voting power. As one Latino La Raza leader said, ‘the white race in America is an aging population that is not procreating, we will overtake them by having more babies’. The sad part about all of this is the taxpayers are funding this madness.

From Mecha; “Reconquista of Aztlan” (also known as American border states)

They come to do the work that American’s won’t do. They come for a better life. They come in droves. Over 4,000 per night cross our Arizona borders. They number in excess of 15 million. They come from an endless line out of the Third World. What most Americans don’t realize—they come to colonize and ultimately conquer our four Border States—but it doesn’t end there.

One look at California illustrates a successful invasion in process. What are the signs? Last year, according to demographic experts, 800,000 American citizens fled California. Why? Los Angeles stands as a clone of Mexico City. Slums, trash, disease, gangs, drugs, bankrupting hospitals, schools in chaos and about the only persons speaking English are Jay Leno and his guests on the Tonight Show. Over 9.2 million Mexicans transplanted themselves into the four Border States—and beyond—all the way to Maine, Iowa, Minnesota, Oregon, Georgia, North Carolina and Michigan.

They are not assimilating, not speaking English, not respecting our laws, paying taxes, driving with licenses, carrying insurance or investing as American citizens.

They lead ‘Reconquista of Aztlan.’ Mexico feels our four border states were stolen by the United States. They maintain a long-term plan for reconquering ‘their’ land. It’s called ‘El Plan de Aztlan.’ Read about it

Interesting that Ramos proudly proclaims the truth, There is NO assimilation going on and way too many are pandering to them.

However others including many pro illegals try to convince someone not paying attention that latinos are assilimating like all groups of immigrants before them
a patent and blalant lie

We must act now. I only hope it is not too late.

Mmmm... Yes. demographics can’t be ignored. I only speak to their lame claims of “stolen land”.

Recent Mexican law permits dual citizenship....

The United States should not permit dual citizenship for naturalized citizens.

Ramos was on BOR this week mumbling allot of gibberish and generally dodging all BOR’s questions. It was pretty funny.

Back in the day... An immigrant got on a ship with the full expectation that he would NEVER see the land of his birth again.... Or maybe he didn’t even care to.

He came here because he WANTED to be an American.

It appears now people who want to enforce the border and stop illegals have to use the logic of drug dealers and criminals instead of being able to tell the truth, that illegals are lawbreakers who are sucking up our services.

I have noticed over the past several months that even people who used to favor sending illegals back now focus on those illegals who commit crimes

BOR certainly has zeroed in on the 1100 illegals in maricopa country jail for violent crimes. I admit it does stop pro illegal in their tracks who then can only sputter that not all illegals are criminals. except yes they are. they may not murder but they rape the system

All of them have broken our laws. They are TRESPASSERS. Trespassing is a crime. Have you ever seen a “NO TRESSPASSING” sign? Sure you have.

Iliminate the jobs. Charge, convict and incarcerate the employers. Accompany this with seizure of assets from the profit of employing illegal aliens.

If the HR directors and CEOs of the big hotel chains and the big restaurant holding companies think that the Yacht or summer house is in danger..... They WILL get rid of their illegals. Put the HR people in JAIL!! They WILL stop hiring them.

Make small employers suffer too. They are JUST as bad.

Many of the 13 original colonies had land claims "sea to sea". They obviously conflicted with Spanish land claims. On the other hand, Mexico didn't exist during that period of history so there were no conflicts with Mexican claims.

In the end Mexico was paid for any mistakes that might have been made and, lo and behold, Abe Lincoln signed the law that returned lands and property stolen from the Catholic church by Mexico.

Even stranger things have happened over the years, but they are simply too numerous to mention.

The Latinos only imagine those babies are their own. The Latinas know well the value of a man with a real job, a future, and permanent residence in the United States.

Not really ~ whole big bunch of mine were brought here in the 1600s to cut trees. All they'd really wanted was some warmer climate to set up their lapu's in a particularly bitter winter in Sweden.

It was probably some time in the late 1830s that people actually started coming to America because they wanted to rather than because some king wanted them to.

Let's say Mexicans overrun the southwest. Then what? Who will govern them, Mexico? The U.S.? What would their economy look like? Will their new country be better than what they now have in Mexico? Will it be better than what ethnic Mexicans currently have in the U.S.?

This reconquista seems to be based purely on ethnic pride. It is not well thought out. Other than speaking a dialect of Spanish, what is to be gained? If the U.S. does not enforce its borders (which I believe it will and very soon) and the southwest is overrun the standard of living will be no better than what they already have in Mexico.
