Was it a competitor or just a vandal who poisoned 7 million vegetable plants at a seedling nursery in Australia?
The sabotage estimated at a loss of 23.5 million Australian dollars ($20.3 million) could more than double produce prices across the country due to decreased supply.
About 4 million tomato seedlings were poisoned, as well as bell peppers, melons and eggplant.
The region of Bowen, in northern Queensland state, grows the majority of Australia's winter vegetables.
Police investigations found that a herbicide was introduced in late June into the irrigation system of the Supa Seedlings nursery, which sells its seedlings to farmers for planting. Workers noticed the wilting and dying plants between June 20 and June 25.

I wasn't sure about what happened to the tomatoes. It was a mystery. But the strawberries ... that's where I had them. I was able to prove by geometric logic that they were poisoned by terrorists...
Islam?
Veggo-terrorism!!
disgruntled employee.
Probably correct
More like Soros. Is he long South American agri-business?

Or a competitor.
Where I used to live, years ago, a supermarket owner firebombed the supermarket down the street Thanksgiving Day.
The victim called all their employees in Thanksgiving am to clean and make sure the store could open, and open they did. They weren’t too happy, though.
The bomber not only got caught, he went out of business.
Bush’s fault. Can you believe the reach of that man?
Cheers!
Disgruntled employee is my bet.
Does George Soros have any related investments - like stock in a competitors company, tomatoe futures, etc etc?
I would bet they were genetically modified tomatoes (as are virtually all modern commercial tomatoes) and it was a bunch of eco-loonies that did this.
They could just go off and grow heirloom tomatoes in their back yards and take them to the farmers’ markets...which is where I buy them, because they taste better...but nooo, if you’re an eco-nut, your whole goal in life is to destroy.
For some reason, I thought this had something to do with the 6 Indians who drowned in a vat of tomato sauce. Perhaps the vegetables are finally fighting back?
at $2.90 each they are very pricey vegie seedlings
(unless my math is bad)
that will teach them to bad mouth the muslimes
