Can I hazard a guess that you do not apply a literal translation to the bible and by chance believe that it is our duty as Christians to MAKE GODS KINGDOM here on Earth and that America and Brittan are the “LOST” tribes or Israel and that Modern Israel has little to do with prophesy? Any of that in your belief structure?
Dispensationalism is the new kid on the block, and has serious disagreements with historic Christianity. In fact, some dispensationalists (like John Hagee) proclaim that genes trump Jesus, and people of at least one ethnic group find salvation outside of Christ.
I have run out of patience with "Christians" who eagerly volunteer to serve as unpaid cheerleaders for the other team. I fear for my nation when I see these yahoos are still being listened to. There were three global adversaries of the gospel when I was young, living under the shadow of The Bomb. God took down one a few years ago -- and the imbeciles who are religiously committed to the cause of antichrist refused to give Him glory. If I were God, I'd be irritated enough to put Islam on the back burner, and turn my chastening hand upon secular humanism, America's state church, first.
I challenge you to offer ONE good fruit of the "fortune=telling" focus of dispensationalism. Just one. I can point out thousands of lives, callings, and families that were blighted by the lust for prognostication. Hal Lindsy, the poster boy for the fortune-telling cause, is on marriage number 4 at last count -- he recycles books and wives as each is overtaken by time.
Wise Christians home-school their kids, thus undermining secular humanism. Wise Christians evangelize Muslims, thus undermining the other global adversary. The future belongs to the Calebs and Joshuas who are willing to trust God for victory, and serve Him with the expectation that His Person, Spirit, Word, and power equip us to overcome. Not just watch.
