MORE spending? MORE? The details of this will allow ANY soldier to demand a LIFETIME of taxpayer money just by, basically, asking for it. It's a DREAM program for the communists. And too many conservatives will go along with it because it "helps the vets." RIGHT. It helps them form a new branch of the DEPENDENT CLASS being created by the Kenyan Usurper and his minions.

Sure, we should help out wounded vets. But nobody should get on-demand access to my money by declaring themselves to be "traumatized." That's nuts.

Obama, his administration, Reid & Pelosi represent the snail $hit that government has become.

it’s hard to fault helping our vets, but you’re right - the excess spending has no limits in Obama’s new world - he can’t spend us into bankruptcy fast enough

Obama uses the military to further his socialism. It will divide them and make them more ineffective for fighting wars. Diabolical.

Politically speaking, he's likely saying this because news was getting out the other day that the tax hike on medical devices was impacting veterans. Thus, he needs to go in and try to put a bandaid on that problem with this new proposal.

I'm an 11 series sandbox vet and I agree with you 100%.

I've yet to take Uncle Sam up on all of the lucrative bennies I could get just by raising my hand. If you have a CIB (which I do) it's essentially a "ticket to ride." Backpay, disability, possible Social Security - the works if you do it right.

So far I've resisted the temptation, but I see a lot vets soaking the system. It's just wrong.

forgive me for being skeptical but I think this is a pr sound bite.

the Vet still has to get the ok from a gov’t pysch doc and I am guessing the ok’s will be as hard to gt as they ever were
BUT it sure makes 0dumbo look good on the surface

Why would Veterans need help? They’re already in a government-run health plan.

What he’ll eventually do is tax the benefit amount they’d receive right along with whatever medical devices they’ll need.

Is this a ploy to give benefits to vets with “mental distress” only to inform them they may never own a gun?
