A majority of all combat-related U.S. casualties in the nine-year-long war in Afghanistan
have occurred since President Barack Obama was inaugurated 17 months ago

This is terrible. I think 6 were killed last week.

Where is the anti-war left?

Interesting how “Bridges for Peace” (hairy anti-war people who picketed our local bridges every weekend during the last 4 years of Bush) seem to have taken a principled sabbatical since obam was installed

What an absolute waste. These heroes are dying for absolutely nothing. Just like Vietnam.

Terrible news from Afgahnistan. POTUS Obama has been compared by many to Adolf Hitler. In one way he is. He is arrogant, he is uninformed and he is not letting our military do their jobs effectively, which is to destroy the enemy and win the war. Now, Hitler suffered multiple attacks on his life, the main ones from inside his military, Generals who knew Hitler was leading leading Germany into Hell and devastation. The great Desert Fox, General Irwin Rommel was executed for his part in a 1944 bombing attempt on taking Hitler’s life. I believe most of our USA Generals have no use for Barack Hussein Obama and, recent events prove I am pretty much on the mark. Sad for American families losing loved ones needlessly, just as Hitler forced his military to do things the Generals knew would lead to diaster. America, shame on you for heading the USA down the same path as The Third Reich!!! Obama should be forced to resign or be impeached by his own Democrat Party.

THEY'RE BACK!
The anti-war protesters are back and demonstrating at my town's FouCorners. When Obama was took office they stopped their picketing and put away their signs.

FYI: The link is to a anti-war, but informative site.

KIA deaths have double since 0 has taken office. His policies are getting our Troops killed needlessly.

We salute you for your courage and bravery and thank you for your service, rest in peace.

Take the handcuffs off of our soldiers and allow them to fight in a very less restricted manner and crap like this would happen much less.

Please pray for my son, who leaves Aug 30th, for Afghanistan. My heart is heavy and I am afraid.

This was a great comfort to me:

Psalm 91
1 He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High
will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. [a]

2 I will say [b] of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress,
my God, in whom I trust.”

3 Surely he will save you from the fowler’s snare
and from the deadly pestilence.

4 He will cover you with his feathers,
and under his wings you will find refuge;
his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart.

5 You will not fear the terror of night,
nor the arrow that flies by day,

6 nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness,
nor the plague that destroys at midday.

7 A thousand may fall at your side,
ten thousand at your right hand,
but it will not come near you.

8 You will only observe with your eyes
and see the punishment of the wicked.

9 If you make the Most High your dwelling—
even the LORD, who is my refuge-

10 then no harm will befall you,
no disaster will come near your tent.

11 For he will command his angels concerning you
to guard you in all your ways;

12 they will lift you up in their hands,
so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.

13 You will tread upon the lion and the cobra;
you will trample the great lion and the serpent.

14 “Because he loves me,” says the LORD, “I will rescue him;
I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name.

15 He will call upon me, and I will answer him;
I will be with him in trouble,
I will deliver him and honor him.

16 With long life will I satisfy him
and show him my salvation.”

I am still waiting for Ted Koppel’s (or that of any MSM personality) two hour TV special where he reads the name of every single soldier killed in Afghanistan, as he felt morally obligated to do for Iraq under President Bush.

Fat chance!!!

Just a technicality. Rommel wasn’t executed. He took a cyanide pill in exchange for the Nazis agreeing to take care of his family maintain his military record. It was pretty much forced suicide.

You are right on!!! However, it was a forced suicide. It was either he takes the poison pill or, torture and hanging by wire. The Hitler revenge was bloody and painful on many military officers, but Adolf Hitler was never the same man as he knew he was widely hated by the German military across the board. In the end, he hated all the German people across the board. You might want to catch the History and Military channels portryal of “The Hitler Body Guard”. Close parallels here in the USA!!!
