You may be right, but I don’t picture the Obama administration as welcoming or in any way facilitating such an attack.

There surely was a “rally-around-the-president” mood after 9/11, but given that the lead-in to such an event in October is months’ worth of criticizing Obama’s incompetence, I think a 9/11 style attack would essentially be the last straw. Voters would be outraged that Obama was ramming through health reform and other pet initiatives rather than keeping his eye on the ball. It would confirm suspicions that Dems just aren’t up to the task of protecting the country. 2010 would be even more of a debacle for Dems than it already is shaping up to be.

to create maximum social chaos; infrastructure collapse; civil war; martial law; WWIII; total economic collapse etc.

The only thing that would work for these Rats is something to create sympathy for the President. Another false attack would just throw more fuel on the fire. I predict a fake asasanation attack. They could pretend to kill him, He could then jump out the back of the Hearst on the way to the funeral (similar to MJ), go get another fake B.C., and then go back to whatver hole he crawled out of.
