A medical clinic that is widely used by the citizens of small town has terminated the doctors and is going to a Nurse Practitioner based practice. Is this going to be the national trend in medical care?
Nurse Practitioners are good but they aren’t doctors. If you use a Nurse Practitioner you best check and double check anything they tell you. Who you check with will become the biggest question.
Most Libs and elderly Libs do not believe this mess will affect them, but when they go see the Dr that has seen them for years and are refused, and then seen by a nurse, I promise there will be noise.
“Is this going to be the national trend in medical care?”
Yep....and it’s happening where I live too.
Obamacare....less real care and more abortion.
The local medical center here has stopped taking ANY new medicare or medicaid patients................
Is this going to be the national trend in medical care?
I was just introduced to mine...
This was happening before obamacare.
“..less real care and more abortion.”
Their “solution” to the problem...as with Nazi Germany, was to “off” the dependent, sick and “unproductive”
Yes, nurses with dirty fingernails that barely speak English; imagine a nasty, county run clinic with stinking, crap filled pampers in the waste paper baskets, spilled drinks on the floor, a broken vending machine in the waiting room, crying sick kids, and government employees who don’t care that you have been sitting there since 8:15 AM and it’s now 3:30 and they are closing up for the day.
Welcome to 0bamas 3rd World Medical Rationing Plan.
I guess patients could go to a veterinarian. They have considerably more training than nurse practitioners.
Elderly libs need to be confronted with the fact that they are going to be passively euthenized under this system, because it isn’t “cost effective” to treat them.
I know my veterinarian has more training.
A nurse practitioner (NP) is a nurse with a graduate degree in advanced practice
Obamacare will cause health insurance premiums to rise next year. You don't force insurance companies to lift the lifetime cap, include "children under 26" to their parents plans, and require the coverage of those with preexisting conditions without affecting health care costs and premiums.
We all know that Obamacare is just a prelude to complete takeover of health care. This is the first stage to bankrupt private health care providers, hospitals, etc. The government will become the health care provider of last resort.
...our primary care rural doctor will still see me despite my medicare status...but for how long?...everybody loves him and hates the thought of possibly losing him....but I can’t blame him if he changes...he’s got 5 kids and works his ass off as it is.

My how educated you are. And how blatantly you show your ignorance when you paint with such a wide brush. And how badly you misrepresent my daughter a NP-C who is completing her doctorate.
Course on the positive side, guaranteed you will not have to depend on her for any care.
having said that, a medical doctor is a a medical doctor, and you can't replace them....
If they are busy they will ask if you want to see the doctor or an NP.
My Son went there once with a bad cold and they offered him the options...He ask if the NP was cheaper. They said the office call is the same price. He ask if it was cheaper to see the janitor or receptionist, or do they charge the same no matter who in the building is giving medical advice?
They didn't see the humor in his question but he did wait for a real doctor.
My husband is 81 with Medicare & B+ & we noticed that we are now paying deductibles on his insulin/insulin supplies/catheter supplies. They never told us & we have had to pay over $300 so far this year. Now we have to have the catheter supplies sent to our home & then take them to the dr.’s office to have the catheter change (supra pubic cath). We have already seen the changes & they are not good.
A nurse practioner is a bachelor’s trained RN with a minimum of a Masters, and advanced training does not really cover it. Now what o will come up with is another matter.
This happened in my doctors office a few years ago. I made an appointment with what I thought was my doctor, then the NP walks in.
I asked where my doctor was and she said the Dr. was all booked so she was taking care of me. I was sick (I rarely go to the doctors) and waited 1 1/2 hours so I couldn’t walk.
I haven’t been back since.....nor to any doctor (except of course my “ladies doctor”).
