If any recent president's life is the stuff of operas, it's Bill Clinton's. There's been comedy, drama, back-stabbing, shouting, crying, death, and many miraculous comebacks. But that's real life. Now art will be imitating life in a project coming together in Little Rock and meant to show how his struggles as a kid raised by a fun-loving mother influenced the making of the 42nd president.

Billy Blythe features "a snapshot of a day of his life in Hot Springs in the 1950s," says the opera's producer, Bonnie Montgomery to our Suzi Parker. "Clinton's life is very operatic, over the top, the perfect operatic vision," says the classically trained musician whose goal is making opera "hip."

So what's it all mean? The day-in-the-life of Bill Clinton "shows a pivotal moment in Billy Blythe's coming of age because he has to stand up to his step-father, Roger Clinton, in a life-changing domestic conflict,"

LOL. The perfect vehicle for two fat men to scream at each other! Sadly, it's before the arrival of Hillary, when flying ashtrays could have been incorporated.

They’re going to call it “SCUMBAGGIO.” The plot is loosely based on Verdi’s “Rigoletto” but the plot has been altered so that he doesn’t have is daughter, Gilda, murdered. She survives but Scumbaggio has several dozens of others murdered to cover his misdeeds.

Although at first I thought it a bad idea, the concept of making opera hip is probably a great idea. It was so in Mozart’s time.

This could be extremely funny with massive amounts of foreshadowing of Monica, Juanita, Marshall and of course, Hillary.

I guaran-d@mn-tee you it will be better than “Avatar”.

I am wondering how the Italian Libretto extends out in the various stanzas of that last act Great Aria sung by the Queen Hillary character entitled in English, “He’s a Hard Dog to Keep on the Porch”.
