While it might be very difficult and painful to do, I wonder if state government can legally withhold state funds from these despicable “sanctuary cities”??

whereas Arizona's new immigration law was singled out because it "actively interferes" with enforcement.

Totally true. The Arizona law interferes with the Feds intent to NOT enforce immigration law.

Not that Republicans always get it right; far from it. But, how is it possible that Democrats are always wrong about everything? One hundred percent, regardless of the issue, regardless of the time, regardless of the politician, absolutely, 180 degrees wrong? You would think that with all of the various laws and stances and planks and issues and beliefs that they would have to accidentally get one right every once in a while. But, I can't think of anything, not one solitary thing, that Democrats do or think or believe that is right.

They may pay lip service occassionally to the right thing: "Let's get bin Laden" or "Deficit spending is bad.", but they always oppose anything that would actually lead to resolutions of those things.

Can those two racist bastards Obama and Holder be sued personally for FAILURE to enforce the laws they are charged with enforcing???

I don’t mean sue the Federal Government, I mean Sue Barack Hussein Obama and Holder PERSONALLY in a CIVIL hearing for failure to honor their oaths of office??

Here’s a real life situation that happened in Maryland. My friend’s car was struck by a vehicle operated by a person who spoke no English; others in the car could also not speak English. The police asked for the guy’s license...he had none. No one in the car had insurance. Eventually, a “friend” came to the assistance of those who were at fault. The police took names, but let them go. When my friend asked what was going to happen next and how would he be able to get justice for being hit by this guy, the police said they were no doubt illegals and therefore would never show up for a court date so they didn’t bother giving them a ticket. The police said my friend’s insurance would have to take care of it.

I would hope that the AZ law could at LEAST allow police to ask people who are in minor car accidents, etc for their papers and have recourse to have them deported. In Maryland, evidently, police are not even allowed to ask.

Right - the Boston incident.

He’s a racist bastard.

Soon Americans will all begin to realize the Emperor has no clothes and her a racist bastard socialist Muslim who probably isn’t even qualified to be President.

I hope we can proove the latter some day soon so all laws tha bastard has signed become void.

I just hope Hillary doesn;t edge him out in the primaries. He’s more vulnerable right now than she is.

""There is a big difference between a state or locality saying they are not going to use their resources to enforce a federal law, as so-called sanctuary cities have done, and a state passing its own immigration policy that actively interferes with federal law," Tracy Schmaler, a spokeswoman for Attorney General Eric H. Holder Jr., told The Washington Times."

I'd like to ask Tracy Schmaler: "Would you eat that crap sandwich you just made? You've done the best you can to make crap palatable, but it's still crap."

The American military in Iraq and Afghanistan use these handheld devices to take fingerprints. Police at home need to start doing the same. So, when the creeps don't show up at court, you can put out a warrant for them and pick them up the next time they encounter the police.

Equal justice is not possible with illegals (or Obamaites).

I’ll assume this wasn’t a rhetorical question and give you an answer.

It only appears that the Democrats get everything wrong becuase you are incorrectly assuming that their goal with any particular statement or policy is as they say it is.

Stop believing that they mean ANYTHING they say. Stop beleiving (if you do) that there are ANY honest liberals, they dont exist. Stop giving them the “benefit of the doubt”, they are NOT misguided. They are evil, because they do know better (whether they’ll admit it or not). Anyone who will look you in the face and deny reality, is actively trying to put one over on you, therefor is evil.

There is ample evidence throughout the history of this and other countries that their beliefs are flat out contradictory to the “freedom” that they pay lip service to.

Just having a written record of the federal govts lack of enforcement on people being turned over to them, is worth any hassle or bad press. OTOH, what bad press? Close to 70% support the law or a more harsh one.

I suggest arizona save the cost of deporting illegals and just bus them to the nearest sanctuary city,...

That is an outstanding idea.

This is not just willful, this is brazen. Violate the law, and we will ignore you. Follow the law, and we will prosecute you.

This is a level of gall beyond even Bill Clinton. It is what tin-pot third-world dictators do, not the United States.

Legal eagle Tracy Schmaler, formerly the senior director, global public affairs at Yahoo! Inc, joined the Justice Department’s Office of Public Affairs as Deputy Director where she works alongside Director Matt Miller.

Previous to working at Yahoo!, Schmaler ran the show at the Senate Judiciary Committee where she was communications director to the Committee for Senator Leahy. During her time on the Committee, Schmaler made life difficult for the Bush Administration’s Supreme Court nominations.

At Yahoo!, Schmaler focused on international human rights issues around China and Microsoft’s failed bid for the company.
