It must be that no one of them has ever run a business or been responsible for anything more than a bureacratic post.
They really believe that the only reason Big Auto hasn't made an electric car is because either a.) they are in chaoots with Big Oil or b.) the federal government hadn't told them to.
Literally, they believe it is possible to totally re-arrange the economy by snapping a finger...
And there is no talking sense to them.
Oh, it can be done. Drastically cut taxes and the government, and the economy will rebound! Or shoot all liberals. The latter would probably be easier.
