O’Reilly’s Burqa Betrayal
David Horowitz's NewsReal Blog ^ | Jamie Glazov

Posted on 07/15/2010 8:53:45 AM PDT by nhungerford

Bill O’Reilly is clearly continuing his shameless and cowardly surrender to Sharia Law. Daily on his program, The O’Reilly Factor on FoxNews.com, he engages in the standard and phony obfuscations about the jihadi threat the West faces, consistently refusing to honestly name and label the Islamic foundations of the terrorist enterprise. Back in April 2010, he blatantly sided with our society’s dhimmis, blaming South Park for doing the Mohammed shows. Rather than praising Parker’s and Stone’s courage, standing up for their right to make any script they wished, and denouncing the despots who threatened their lives (and the tenets of the Islamic religion that sanction such threats), O’Reilly publicly promoted submitting to Sharia Law, thereby surrendering to the forces who killed filmmaker Theo van Gogh.

Now, this past Tuesday, on his July 13 program, O’Reilly hit a new low, making a grotesque statement about the millions of suffering persecuted Muslim women around the world. In a bizarre debate with Laura Ingraham about France’s move to ban the burqa, O’Reilly flippantly jokes about a tragic and deadly reality in which any serious, sensitive person would find nothing laughable.

With great self-satisfaction, O’Reilly teases Ingraham about “rooting for the French” while mind-bogglingly siding against the French ban. He makes a disparaging reference to “the Western eye” to imply that forced veiling is only oppressive through our Western lens — as though there is no universal standard of human rights. Priding himself on being for “tolerance” and, therefore, for being in favor of allowing Muslim women to veil, he affirms that “most” Muslim women want to veil themselves.

A vile statement like this reveals such ignorance and heartlessness in the face of mass human suffering that one does not even know where to begin in response.

The Saudis bought a stake in Fox, just as they’ve been buying into all sorts of Western media.

The owners can control the content.

I am opposed to the ban because it is little more than a band aide on a poor immigration policy in France. I do not believe this should be something Govt needs to get involved. This whole thing about being a security issue is rubbish, and we all know it.

O’Reilly is dead wrong. Every place women have been given a choice, without retribution, they have disgarded the veil.

France has cultural laws too. Things must be in French. So many films have to be of French origin (or non-US, I don’t recall).

Bill O’Reilly better wake up since he has a child. He is willing to prostitute himself, because he doesn’t want to be in the cross-hairs like Beck—he is playing it “safe”. BUT it will be WORSE in a few years, if he isn’t one of the leaders in demanding us to return to the Founding priciples of this great nation. Come on, Bill! YOU ARE NOT FOOLING US OR GOD, AND YOU KNOW IT!!!!!! You show wisdom at times and some courage. God needs you in the forefront. Otherwise, we (and your boy) will be nothing but slaves. Please step up for our children and future!

I stopped paying attention to O’Reilly years ago, during the ‘04 election cycle. The Bush side called Kerry a flip-flopping, tax-and-spend liberal while the lid-demholes called Bush a liar, a murderer, a racist and a Nazi and O’Loser equates the two and whines that the name calling has to stop....

Is there a difference between Muslims who don't believe in the Koran and Christians who don't believe in the bible?

BOR also thought it was a good idea that NASA reached out to the Muslim community.

A stake? They are the largest shareholders.

I gave up on him years ago also. He has no insight, little courage and never puts America first.

Your question is basically whether there is a difference between Muslims and Christians. Yes. As big a difference as between Muhammad and Christ.

Greta does the best interviews. I have never heard her toss softballs to anyone.

Bret Baier’s show is getting so predictable too. The panel is boring and in need of a shake up.

FNC is pretty much a wasteland but it serves a great purpose. It annoys the life out of the lefties.

For once the French are showing some spine with a national ban on burqas and even popular demonstrations against Muslim hegemony by having open pork sausage and wine BBQs in defiance of Muslim protests.

2BE: Many claim to be faithful followers of Mohammad or Jesus Christ and remain igonorant or unfaithful. They all get along fine. There is no COMMON GROUND shared between faithful Christians and Moslems.

Thanks for posting this. I have great respect for David Horowitz, as he's seen the light and has come through his past swinging.

BOR has outlasted his welcome, imo.

BTW, here's a link to Fitna, Geert Wilders' 15-min film that got him in so much hot water with the Dutch gov't. re:radical islam w/short intro by Robert Spencer.
