PPP: Obama, Palin tied 46/46 in 2012 polling

No, this is not coming from Rasmussen or an internal GOP poll, but from the normally Democrat-sympathetic Public Policy Polling. PPP pitted Barack Obama against five potential Republican challengers for the 2012 presidential campaign, and the only one Obama beat was … Jan Brewer. Even that, PPP admitted, resulted from Brewer’s lack of name recognition. The headline, though, is Sarah Palin’s dead heat with the President:

She’ll be in even better shape in two years when Obama plummetts the U.S. further into malaise and she gets to bone up more on interviewing, speaking and policy.

Oh and sorry about LeBron. jk

By 2012, Obama will be trailing Joseph Goebels, Pol Pot, Hillary, Harold Stassen and “Jo-Jo, The Dancing Circus Bear.”

Sarah Palin will never run for elective office again.

She will not subject herself to that abuse. She is too smart for that.

She will allow her name to be mentioned and stay in the headlines. She will make $50,000 to $100,000 per speech, and another million or two a year as a consultant.

Her “blessing” will be a huge assist for any R candidate.

Sarah knows the only thing better than being the King, is to be the Kingmaker.

You aren’t seeing the rest of the poll.

The others beat him.

Even-steven with the President with two years to go is quite good and very surprising.

She’s doing a good job.

"Sarah Palin will never run for elective office again.

Well she's pretty well been through the abuse gauntlet, and has more experience dealing with it than any other 10 politicians combined. She has been thoroughly vetted.

But I tend to agree with you about the "kingmaker" comment. It's just that it will be a practical decision on her part not to run, not because she fears abuse or ridicule.

“...I think the Reagan family had their share of family drama, didn't’t stop him from winning...”

Yes, Ron was a campaign liability. Patty was worse campaign liability but at least she put off her nude photo-spread till afterward. Even if she hadn't it would not have mattered decisively. Sarah has no family liabilities worse than Reagan had.

Exactly..Bristol has her issues. Sarah should just wash her hands of the whole situation. They wanna get married, fine, but he won’t be welcome in her house. I don’t think Bristol is a bad kid she just isn’t the brightest of the bunch and like other teens, she will have to learn her lesson the hard way. Reagan had his own situation with two of his kids, one smeared the family and posed for Playboy and the other one, Ron, is an idiot, and not just because he has bought into the liberal philosophy but because he behaves like a moron. Doesn’t say anything bad about Ronald Reagan, just happens, sometimes the best damn parenting in the world and you still end up with a messed up kid.

Obumbler will be the Demoncrap candidate in 2012 unless he doesn't run for reelection. There is no way the rats will nominate anyone else, none!

The Demoncraps can't win without 90+% of the black vote and the poverty pimps would stay home if Obumbler isn't nominated.

I think you are seriously underestimating Nobama. If we just assume he’s dead meat, our base isn’t going to turn out. He’s in trouble, yes. But his average approval rating is 47%, which is still much higher than Bush was re-elected with in 2004. I’d love to see Christie out there in the mix. I think he’s going to be the big star of the party in a few years.

WE are on the same page that's for sure.

I just think that if Hillary was to run, she would get the nomination this time, people are mad as heck with what happened last time at the caucus. The other Dems are not loyal, the independents are mad. Heck everyone who voted for him are made, except for his welfare and black panther followers.

Yet she may see it is the only way she can ever be president, just go for it, especially if Palin is our nominee. The two choices being a WOMAN, no more talk about are the American people ready for a Woman president. That, I believe is her strategy.

I do not want Hillary anymore than any one else, as she would be harder to beat in 2012.

I don't think any of our group will ever sit another election out because their candidate did not win the primary. If they do THEY are the ones who deserve the government WE get.

PLEASE, what family doesnt have crap going on in their lives.

Precisely. This latest thing with Bristol getting re-engaged to her immature boyfriend has a lot of people saying "This is going to hurt Sarah Palin's chances"

But I think a lot of people, especially women, are going to think. "I went through the same thing with my daughter/niece/cousin/granddaughter" It is another "connection" with people who don't normally have anything in common with a politician.
