Is that really true? Have you experienced bad treatment of Christians by capital police or seen it?
Religion is not part of the government's repertoire.
I'd had no problem telling the cop to go bring his supervisor.
Virtually ALL digital cameras have a built in strobe function. I would imagine the guards are not able to examine all the cameras to make sure the strobe light is off.
The cops must now be invoking the law of the jungle in DC.

This was years ago. It was a 35 mm SLR film camera.
Ten Commandments in the Courtroom
My point was that the security person was making her own rules, which were a bit more restrictive than what the sign clearly indicated. No Flash Pictures meant just that.
...a court police officer told them it was against the law.Quick way to put a stop to this, demand the officer's name etc, and if he doesn't want to give it, tell him to be fruitful and multiply (euphemism); if he does give it, make it go viral on the www, preferably with a cameraphone picture of his stupid ass. Last thing the Demwits need is to have something like this blow up during the Elena Kagan BS, and less than four months to go until the election.
Do we have 15 Freepers in the DC area who would care to go pray in the same spot tomorrow?

Would the cops have interfered if they had knelt down on prayer rugs facing Mecca?
I say combine the 2 posts...
WANTED: 15 Freepers in the DC area who would care to go kneel down on prayer rugs facing Mecca at this same place.
I really wanna see how that goes.
Exactly. We need to form prayer groups to pray on the steps of the SC. They can't arrest us all.
Got one right here. Just found it cleaning out the garage. It’s b Kodak. The front lens cap pops back and lo and behold it has a FLASH built in. Similar to this ~ http://www.camerapedia.org/wiki/Kodak_Advantix_T550
-- The Courtroom frieze depicts the history of law, including the Ten Commandments. The commandments, written in Hebrew, are shown held by Moses, ... There are also other figures engraved in the chambers, including the Muslim prophet Muhammad and a larger-than-life frieze of Napoleon Bonaparte among the 18 marble likenesses on the courtroom's north and south walls.[5]
--In 1997, the Council on American-Islamic Relations demanded the Supreme Court remove the image of Muhammad from the marble frieze of the façade. While appreciating the fact that Muhammad was included in the courts pantheon of 18 prominent lawgivers of history, CAIR noted that Islam discouraged its followers from portraying any prophet in paintings, sculptures or other artistic representations. .
--Chief Justice William Rehnquist rejected the request to sandblast Muhammad, saying the artwork "was intended only to recognize him, among many other lawgivers, as an important figure in the history of law; it is not intended as a form of idol worship." The court later added a footnote to tourist materials describing the frieze, calling it a "a well-intentioned attempt by the sculptor to honor Muhammad."link
This was in 1978.
The students would have been OK if they’d been led in prayer by an imam...
All I’m saying is that the signage was clearly allowing for photography without a flash. If the rule was no photographs allowed, period, that’s what it would have said. The guy was ticked off, and I don’t blame him. (He was checking the punctuation in the Second Amendment.)
Yup.
We took the kids down to Sprinfield Ill this summer, and we toured the Lincoln Museum (since it was about 300 million of our state tax dollars, figured why not).
We were told no cameras allowed. I asked why, and we were told “because the artists who created these exhibits own the photographic rights to them”
Hmmm. My museum. My tax dollars. But... you could buy all sorts of post cards of the exhibits.
We went over to the capitol building. No pictures. I asked why. Security reasons.
My wife was born in Hungary during communist occupation, and we travel there much, and have been traveling there since the early 80’s. She remarked “it reminds me of home” She was of course referring to all the “no camera” signs the soviets had all over the place.
It really did get me to think on the 3 hour drive back “are we going in that direction?, is our own government afraid of We the People?”
Over the last year, I am realizing more and more, that yes indeed, we are going in that direction.
Soon, the Chinese will may more capitalist than we are, and some of the former USSR states may be more of a representative democracy.
The beginning of Maccabes has the prime example of a power and morality guilt crazed king who goes after the moral survival life of jews by forbidding them from following good laws that save their lives, and forcing them to follow evil rules of perversions.
The madness of our government is following this same fascist pattern modeled after low class Hitlers that the left loves and frames secretly.
“Do we have 15 Freepers in the DC area who would care to go pray in the same spot tomorrow?”
FRiend, If I wasn’t about 16 hours away, I’d love to. I’ll have to pray with you from here.
B Cool,
