WASHINGTON – President Barack Obama and his family are heading off Friday for the weekend to a spectacular national park on the coast of Maine, no doubt hoping this latest jaunt doesn't fall victim to the Obama family travel hex.

That would be the one in which events seem to scramble the plans whenever Obama has his wife and daughters in the mix.

In a mere 18 months on the job, Obama has rolled up an impressive record of diversions, interruptions, delays and outright cancellations of planned family travel — all thanks to the nonstop demands of a turbulent presidency.

I say that We Who Hate Him collect money and send him and his family on a world cruise. On a slow boat. Could last 18 months or whatever the count is til Nov, 2012. He could be so rested by then, as could we.

We could probably collect enough to get Nancy and Joe on that same cruise. It would be cheap, considering that we would save the country.

He's proved that the stereotype is real. He's let America see that 97% of blacks are ignorant racists. Many complain that the illegals don't want to become Americans, but hesitate to say the same about blacks. Since blacks are so dissatisfied with this country, I really think they should leave.

The best thing anyone ever did for blacks in this country was to bring them to this country. Sure, they had to earn their keep for a few years as slaves but that was probably the only way to get any work out of them.

Is that too harsh for you? Most blacks now have the resources to flee this oppressive land, so why don't they. They know that no where else could they get so much for doing so little.

I'm tired of all the people who bitch and moan about this country and do their best to bring it down. I think the next stimulus package should offer blacks, illegals and all other anti-Americans a one way ticket out of here on the promise that they never return. Now that would be an economic stimulus.

A very nice beach a few weekends ago had nothing but black people all up and down it.I asked the girl in the pier gift shop if there was a convention of some sorts, she said that Obama rented all of their beach houses for them.

I live in Maine, not far from where the Obamas are “vacationing.”

A local CBS affiliate just showed live coverage of Obama’s aircraft at the Bar Harbor / Trenton airport. The aircraft appeared to be similar to a DC-9.

Obama got off the plane and was chatting with dem Governor John Baldacci and his wife, who were there to greet him, and Mike Michaud, our local dem congressman. A black guy in a military uniform got off the plane, too, and two white men in suits, along with two other black men in suits, were carrying a number of pieces of luggage off the aircraft.
A black SUV was parked alongside the plane, with a couple of secret service guys leaning against the vehicle. The TV station then moved on to other local news stories. No sign of Snowe or Collins.
