Poll: Ex-Obama Voters Like Romney

A new poll from Public Policy Polling shows President Obama trailing Mitt Romney, Mike Huckabee and Newt Gingrich in support for the 2012 presidential election.

Ex-Massachusetts Gov. Romney leads by 46 to 43 percent, ex-Arkansas Gov. Huckabee by 47 to 45 percent and ex-House Speaker Newt Gingrich by 46 to 45 percent.

Obama is tied with ex-Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin at 46 percent. The only potential Republican candidate he leads is lesser-known Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer, 44 to 36 percent.

The president’s numbers are the worst ever in Public Policy Polling’s monthly survey.

But the poll respondents didn’t express much enthusiasm for the potential Republican candidates either. Of the five contenders, only Huckabee has more people who view him favorably than unfavorably -- 37 percent to 28 percent.

Romney received a favorable rating from 32 percent of respondents and an unfavorable rating from 33 percent. For Gingrich, the margin was 32 to 42 percent, for Palin it was 37 to 52 percent and for Brewer 17 to 20 percent.

Still, Republicans enjoy a strong advantage over Obama among independent voters. Those respondents favored Romney over the president by 48 to 35 percent, Gingrich by 50 to 39 percent, Huckabee by 46 to 40 percent, Palin by 47 to 42 percent and even Brewer by 38 to 37 percent.

Their healthcare plans are so very similar. Why is Romney even considered as a possible conservative presidential candidate? Gag-barffffff!

Wrong. Romney is better looking, more articulate and smarter. ;-) But nominating Romney would be like renominating McCain (He has the same advantages over McCain that he does over the big O).

Why can’t we support a candidate that is simply right on the issues? Since Kennedy glibness, good hair, etc. have played a devastingly large role in the election process.

Mitt Romney can not be President, he’s not A Natural Born Citizen. His father was born in Mexico.

Look I can't stand Romney, but where do you get that line of reasoning? I think even the most stringent interpretations on this topic define "natural Born" as a child born in the U.S. to two American parents.

When one liberal doesn’t work out, they turn to another.

They don’t learn or change their stripes.

Perfect. Romney is no conservative, he’s another Scott Traitor Brown, Olympia Traitor Snow and Susan Traiter Collins closet Dem.

“ROMNEY, THE OTHER CLEAN END”

That he is - but I’m still not convinced that Zero isn’t the sh***iest end one could ever grab.

Oh and here is a suggestion for all you GOP Senators - STOP THESE MONSTROSITIES BEFORE THEY BECOME LAW AND THEN YOU WON'T HAVE TO CALL FOR THE IMPOSSIBILTY OF REPEALING THEM.

Elect a majority of constitutional conservatives in the House and Senate, and you won't have to REPEAL. Unconstitutional laws can be annulled by simple majority vote on joint resolutions, without a presidential signature.

Listen to Cece's explanation about the Obama Health Care bill -- if it is unconstitutional, it is VOID. A simple resolution, by simple majority of Congress, will be sufficient to declare it unconstitutional and VOID; not voidable, but VOID as of the date of passage. The same can be done with the other 90% of unconstitutional federal laws.

CECE HEIL explains why she is running for the 5th Congressonal District in Tennessee

Mitt Romney IS a natural born citizen, as both parents were American citizens and he was born in the US.

His father WAS born in Mexico of parents that were both US citizens, so he was an American citizen; though not natural born.

“Romney was born to American parents in the Mormon colonies in Mexico; events during the Mexican Revolution forced his family to move back to the United States when he was a child.”

Yes, to everything you said.

I get real tired of the surrender monkeys, French poodles and agent provaceteurs on FR crying that America is doomed, and there’s not squat we can do about it. Hell, king obuma can’t even find an “army” to carry out his dictates. We should at least wait to see the character of the jackboots he puts on the ground to enforce his illegal dictates.

The ghetto weasel obuma has:

1) the fat welfare momma division

2) The pants-wetting college moron brigade

3) the 60 IQ inner city battalion who can’t hold a glock straight

4) The secret service traitors

I think even the most stringent interpretations on this topic define "natural Born" as a child born in the U.S. to two American parents.

Stringent? That IS the definition. Anything else is wrong.

Romney's father born in MX? I think poster forgot the /s tag.

Scott Traitor Brown.

Sigh ... A moderate like Scott Brown is not a traitor ...

I hate to interrupt the false reality you live in, but a majority of Republicans are moderate in one way or another.

The number one JOB of being a member of congress is to represent the people of their respected district. The people of Massachusetts do not have the same views or concerns that you do.

I would gladly take Romney over Obama and the democrats any-day.

I find it puzzling you would mention Scott Brown a traitor while not mentioning an actual real traitor such as Mr A. Spector.

Lordy, you better stop making sense. Some people on here would be bashing Reagan all the time if there was an internet back then for being too leftwing.
