...in one election he (Reagan) lost only 1 state in the electoral college...(If my old memory serves me correctly)...please correct me if I am wrong on Reagans election. don't remember if it was the first or second term...<>/p>

Election 1980:

Reagan won 44 states
Carter won 6 states plus DC
Reagan won 489 Electoral votes
Carter won 49 Electoral votes
Reagan won 50.75% of the popular vote
Carter won 41.01% of the popular vote
John Anderson, 3rd party candidate, 6.61% of popular vote

Election 1984:

Reagan won 49 states
(Reagan lost Minnesota by less than 4k votes
Mondale won 1 state plus DC
Reagan won 525 Electoral votes
Mondale won 13 Electoral votes
Reagan won 58.77% of the popular vote
Mondale won 40.56% of the popular vote

Thank you thank you thank you, I am so happy to get something right that happened almost 25 years ago...in fact I am happy if I look in the mirror and know who I am....getting old sometimes stinks...:O)
