More great news: Bristol Palin, Levi Johnston reportedly shopping reality show

First comes love, then comes marriage, then comes … a Gosselin-esque bit of child exploitation? Granted, it’s TMZ that’s reporting it, but this isn’t the only data out there pointing towards a show of some kind. Ricky Hollywood’s lawyer was conspicuously noncommittal when asked about it by the NYT, saying ominously, “I can’t talk about that until the end of the week.”

What could go wrong?

Levi Johnston and Bristol Palin are already looking to bring outsiders into their upcoming marriage — in the form of a reality TV crew … this according to a source very familiar with the negotiations.

TMZ has learned the couple has been shopping “multiple reality shows” around town — some of the ideas involve the couple AND their two-year-old son, Tripp.

We’re told the leading concept involves all three people — and will focus on “parenting issues.”

I’ll give you three possibilities. One: Palin’s gone mad and has secretly blessed this freak show on the assumption that the buzz will somehow help her politically.

If she wasn’t before, she sure will be now.

Lol! You’re so right, but if you raise ‘em right, that crap won’t sink in. :)

None of mine voted for Obambi and all three are members of the NRA. I did something right! ;)

I think BOTH parents influence their kids, but honestly, I think moms make the most difference. We are, by nature, the most nurturing of the two.

Call me old fashioned, but I think women who have kids should care enough about them to be at home for the first few years and not trust some stranger to do the job for them. It just doesn’t make any sense to me.

Like I said, I really like Sarah, but if you want to really know about a person, take a look at their family.

Nobody is perfect but Bristol obviously lacks guidance.

I fear Bristol is going to end up hurt.

Levi’s behavior was so reprehensible, I do not understand how this young woman would trust him sufficiently ever again.

Posing for Playboy? Fine. Doing some interviews with ‘normal’ stuff? Fine. Not that I would have liked it. But his odd relationship with Kathy Griffen and working up bogus, salacious details is beyond the pale.

Now Bristol is getting hitched and thinks all of this is OK.

When I mentioned the upcoming nuptials, the first thing hubby said is, ‘that worthless p*ick is setting her up for his own gain.’ Interesting to read about the reality show. Looks like hubby might be right on target.

What do you do when you’ve a kid that is just dumb as a plank. Love them and hope for the best, I suppose.

Sorry to disappoint you pissant, but other news sources say there is NO reality show shopping going on. This is just unsubstantiated Palin rumor number 636.

This from The Today Show

http://today.msnbc.msn.com/id/38268383/ns/today-entertainment/

Within hours of Us Weekly announcing the betrothal, there were Internet rumors that Palin and Johnston would be participating in a reality show featuring footage from their wedding, their lives as young parents, or both.

But at this stage of the game, it doesn’t seem like there’s a deal for a show in place. Palin’s camp had no comment about such a program. Johnston’s attorney Rex Butler didn’t return calls about the rumors. Bravo and MTV both confirmed there are no shows about the young couple in the works. And at least two other prominent reality-show producers who asked not to be named said that no show featuring the couple was even in the shopping stage.

If you are old fashioned, so am I.=) I agree 100%. But Bristol is 19. They are going to react badly to anything ‘Palin’ because the left doesn’t want a conservative woman to uhm, represent FIRST. That’s all. They can’t REALLY claim Palin is dumber or more incompetent as a mother.

Jeez, we are all imperfect and incompetent....and all of our childfen have their own little minds.=)

Let’s just both hope Bristol comes to her senses.

She has a lot of growing up to do. And she better do it fast now that she’s a mom herself. :)

A successful reality show can make a lot of money for the stars of the show. IIRC they can make up to $75,000 an episode, like the Duggars and the Gosselins reportedly did. I’m sure Levi’s lawyer/agent is filling their heads with these figures and pushing the idea. How else can these 2 uneducated teens with no money, no jobs, and a child to feed and clothe make this kind of money? Levi has had a taste of Hollywood and the entertainment business (the low end, obviously) and this is just the next step for him. What have they got to lose? Just my opinion: the engagement seems phoney and just part of the hype for the show.

Bristol did go to college and worked for a dental hygenist while caring for her son. Track enlisted and went over to Iraq for one year. Piper is 9 and Willow is 15. And Trig is two. See how easy that is? Tell us the important, impressive, selfless things “your children” did while Track was over in a war zone for a year from 9-11-08 to 9-11-09?

Hardly. If you read my other posts, you can tell I make no claim to perfection. Not even close.

I’m just saying if you have your priorities in order, chances are your children will most likely make better choices.

I can forgive Bristol for having a child out of wedlock. But to marry a dolt like Levi? Has she NO sense at all?

With what morals and values was she raised with?

Just something to think about.

Can’t tell you what my kids did, they’re just goofing off, working and going to college.

I can tell you my dad is a retired CMSGT, two brothers served in the Air force, one in the Navy as well as hubby. Also had a nephew was in Beirut for two years, so don’t get on your high horse with me.

No one deserevs more respect than our troops, but the military isn’t for everybody.

I raised my boys just fine and I’m proud of them as well.

At least they aren’t making babies out of wedlock and marrying idiots and looking for reality show deals.

Yes, I’m very proud of my kids.

When I was a kid tv shows were reality/hollywood wanna be’s too.

Like Dating Game. Gov. Arnold was on that when he was trying to break into the acting scene.
Now we have Bacholorette ect...

Candid Camara a classic and now we have Inner Beauty/Big Brother ect...

Old shows reinvented but with less morality.

All wanna be actors or aspiring to be.

JMO.
