Should You Be Allowed to Know What’s in Your DNA?
Pajamas Media ^ | July 15, 2010 | Paul Hsieh

That’s the federal government’s latest message to Americans seeking to learn the content of their own DNA.

Recent advances in biotechnology have allowed private companies to offer affordable genetic testing directly to consumers, to help them determine their risks of developing problems such as diabetes, heart disease, and various forms of cancer. In response, the U.S. government has told these companies that their tests must be approved by FDA regulators before they can be sold because, in the government’s words, “consumers may make medical decisions in reliance on this information.”

These restrictions thus represent a new level of government paternalism over the citizenry. In the name of “protecting” us, the government seeks to prevent willing consumers from learning medically useful information about their own bodies that could tell them which diseases they may develop — and help them make important treatment, prevention, and lifestyle decisions.

Yikes. In a few years, we may look at 1984 as a utopian novel.

What unchecked third world immigration and a Marxist Regime is putting on us will soon become intolerable. If the military is truly run by the NWO-types who want population control, it could be a very bloody and horrific end to the US.

We need to pray and stay vigilant. This is the tip of the proverbial iceberg from 2009-2010...the groundwork is laid now...healthcare is a reality and they want to control your breath and life...you cannot make a buck working without being union...Cloward & Piven are moving ahead at breakneck speed.

Then again, there is some stuff like MS that isn't in your DNA but gets you just as bad...

What about bathroom scales? Should they, likewise, be registered? After all: Consumers may make medical decisions in reliance on this information!

I look at my POS "brother", and promise myself I NEVER want to be anything like him, and that's scary enough for me!

But maybe DNA would show that he WAS actually switched at the hospital with a REAL brother. (I think his REAL family probably ran a cut rate pawn shop or something that made him have greed and cheapness in his genes.)

If I am running one of these DNA shops, I just move operations to Panama or the Cayman Islands, where they want my business. U.S. customers will be invited to send in a lock of hair a vial of bodily fluid, whatever works best.

I personally wouldn't buy a medical DNA test without some kind of guarantee of accuracy. But plenty of people buy all kinds of crap for $19.95 off the TV these days.

My DNA has been patented by Monsanto. If I had one of these tests done they would sue me and take away my farm.
