Jeff Dolan spent Fathers Day in jail, locked away for failure to pay child support. Deadbeat dads dont garner a lot of sympathy. But you dont need to study Jeffs case for long before you realize that hes anything but a deadbeat. Instead, hes a man hopelessly ensnared in a crushing bureaucratic machine: Hes in jail because he couldnt pay child support, but he couldnt pay child support because he was unemployed and he was unemployed because the court took his drivers license for failure to pay child support after he went bankrupt paying his court costs.

Last year a 60 year old man I know, got robbed through the child support system here in WI.
He has been divorced from that first wife for over 20 years. His children are in their 30’s or 40’s.
The ex-wife decided that she wanted to retire and looked into whether or not she could go after the ex-husband for supposed back child support before some ridiculous deadline of 20 years expired. Turns out she could still go after him and do so without any court hearings at all.
He did not owe anything. However he also no longer had proof he paid all of it since it was 20 years ago.
Well, without him ever going before a judge or getting anything more than a letter from her and the state, they took $22,000 dollars from him.
He says he not only paid all support all those years ago, but he also bought the children (as young adults) expensive things that were not counted in the payments like cars etc.
He got ripped off and had no say whatsoever. It devastated him. He also lost his job last year and still has not found work.
That evil woman (and I am a woman and I know evil when I see it) took him to the cleaners so she could be on easy street.
When a person gets trapped in the vortex if the judicial system and they dont have way to pay themselves out it can be really really bad.
Took his driver’s license for not paying child support?!
So can I expect the same treatment if I refuse to pay for Obamacare?
There will be a lot of conservatives in prison. But then, I guess that is the point.
And while you are in prison they will take your house and give it to someone ‘who needs it’.
Ah yes,, the joys of fatherhood....!!!!!!!!NOT!!!! the very reason I never procreated! The screwing you get for the loving you got! (that’s the nice way of saying it)
What a convenient way to get around the idea that there are no debtor prisons in the US. Simply make it against the law to not pay a debt. Seems like the same thing to me. sigh
BTTT!
Thanks for the ping, Roger.
Misandry in Canada ping, Clive.
Heh.
Meet my husband’s ex-wife.
If it isn't the law, it damn right should be. Think it over, FRiend.
He should have just fooled around and gotten some single woman pregnant. Then Uncle Sam would have taken care of everything for him.
There is a great quote from Atlas Shrugged ....They make so many laws, none of us could hope to obey them all, which makes each of us a criminal.
That, my FRiend, is "just where they want us."
It started with the Fathers, because no one could support "Dead-beat" Dads.
Then they went after the smokers because heck, the stuff stinks if you don't smoke. Now they are going after fat people....
So can I expect the same treatment if I refuse to pay for Obamacare?

Obamacare has direct access to your bank accounts , you’re covered...
Exactly!
See my post #15.
Life is just so much easier if one man and one woman marry until death do them part, just like the Bible tells them.
This is a calculated, deliberate, satanically evil attack on marriage. Why? you might ask. Answer: If marriage is no longer the foundational unit of society, then the State can take total control, from saying who and when human life is created to when and how it is terminated, and to what State benefit it is put to use in between. Get it now? Satanic slavery, propagated by the all powerful state for the benefit of Satanic worshipers.
Doubt what I’m saying? Read “The Franklin Cover-up” and then tell me I’m wrong.
Making loans is gambling. Unless the person getting the loan lied to get it, the loaning party has no one to blame but themselves. If the loan was gained by falsifying information, then yes, go to jail. If not, then the bet did not pay off. Do not loan money to people who cannot repay it.
