He just expresses admiration for Regan becasue it is politically correct to do so these days, even in the Establishment. They (by them, I Mean the GOP Establishment), still don’t like him, but he is no longer a threat to them. And if they can revise his memory and make him into something he was not, then they are perfectly OK with embracing “Reaganism”
The fact is, before his election, the likes of this guy would have been trashing him unmercifully, using virtually the same slurs he now employs against Sarah Palin.
Twenty years from now, after she has completed her second successful term, all her detractors will be claiming they were for her all along. Just like they now all claim to be Reaganites.
You can have whatever opinions you wish, but I’d appreciate it if you wouldn’t speak for me. I happen to have cast my very first presidential vote for Ronald Reagan when he ran for his second term. Now before you find something snarky to say about waiting for his second term, I was tied up dealing with adolescence in 1980.
Fair enough. My comments regarding cult status, hero worship, and love sickness wasn't meant to be a blanket statement to be applied to everyone. Although, they certainly apply to some in this thread, and if you're honest, you'll admit that it's true.
I'll take you at your word that you have found solid reasons to support her. Please take me at mine, that I have not.
