Old age isn’t becoming near or far sighted. My optometrist says my lenses don’t have the elasticity they once did, so I have difficulty focusing. That difficulty increases with age.

Sigh! If I had known I’d live this long, I would have taken better care of my body.

I’ve worn glasses since I was 7 (nearsighted and astimatism) and can’t wear contacts, so glasses are no big deal. HOWEVER...I’m at the age where my near vision is starting to go bonkers. I have to take my glasses *off* to read and my optometrist is saying the “B” word. I do not want bifocals, Sam-I-Am. Insult to injury! I’ll go as long as I can before I have to wear the darn things.
