The notion that governments derive their only just authority from the consent of the governed is a foundational principle of the American experiment.
However, a new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey finds that just 23% of voters nationwide believe the federal government today has the consent of the governed. Sixty-two percent (62%) say it does not, and 15% are not sure.

That figure of 23% likely won’t go lower. That’s the nitwits and some others who are dependent on the government dole...

Isn’t 23% close to the total black population in the US?

You know I can understand the 23% because there will always be sycophants, moochers, and zealots but the 15% that don’t know, that’s scary.

[ 23% Say U.S. Government Has the Consent of the Governed ]
Well then let "them" change it.. if they still can..
Odds are only revolt can or will change it..
There could be a November surprise in store for those looking for the silver bullet of change..
The socialists have been practicing for 100 years on how to overwhelm a system and change it.. They may have gotten very good at it.. By the way have the Death Squads started YET?..
-OR- are "they" still composing lists of the ones to be visited by them..

::::::::::::::
That 23% is made up of the usual suspects and known non-deserving parasites upon the taxpayer. I say that because there are many who have PAID THEIR WAY toward what little they get back from the Washington mob. It is not difficult to figure out who the 23% are — just read a so-called newspaper. They are the ones that the MSM will NOT say anything about.....

If Obama and Co. try to use Frankin as an example of how they will win the elections there will be a civil war. The only thing holding it back is the idea that they can be thrown out at the ballot box. If that gets taken away the the US is going to fly apart like a jet engine ingesting a moose.

"but the 15% that dont know, thats scary."
Those folks could easily be a combination of those who don't want to send out negative energy and those who are afraid to criticize either position.
Then there are those who refused to be surveyed.

12% black, and I think I read somewhere that approximately 10% of Americans belong to one labor union or another. Getting close to 0'dumbo's 23%.
I still think that is a larger number than those who actually believe! in 0's regieme.
