And I believe it was the LA Times had a video for in 2008 but wouldn’t release? And we flooded their phones and faxes...

We would have had better luck getting Goebbels to admit that Hitler was rounding up and exterminating six million Jews.

One election will NOT do the trick....even though this election is a VERY important one. I DO believe that good Americans are going to turn out in big numbers. However, what is desperately needed in this country is some sincere repentance and a genuine return to God. If that does not take place, the Man upstairs may have to allow this nation to suffer the consequences of its sins (abortion comes to mind). I’ve been noticing in the Bible lately how often Israel disobeyed God....which led to great natural disasters and defeats for Israel....until they repented and began anew with God. It was a pattern oft repeated in the early story of salvation. If our nation has a similar experience, that is not reason to be pessimistic...because, ultimately, God’s ways will prevail. I’m praying for this country with you, imjimbo.

;-)

“Watching this all at home were members of Journolist, a listserv comprised of several hundred liberal journalists, as well as like-minded professors and activists. The tough questioning from the ABC anchors left many of them outraged.”

It is no coincidence that these people say and report the same thing from the same perspective, using the same words. I am glad to see their little staff meetings being reported on. What a den of snakes.

"Does Andrew Breitbart have Journolist?"

Fire up the popcorn popper. This should be good.

You remind of the “Better Red than Dead” crowd in the ‘70s. It’s never over ‘till it’s over, my friend. Unless you’re a Marxist lurker there’s lots happening to counter the Usurper Onada’s regime.

AB is doing some major hurt! Hope he continues to post “racial” videos made by members of the NAACP. The more they are destroyed the more incentive member of the community will have drop out and participate in a more productive group.

Did you ever consider that the latest video on Sharron had to be taken and ‘given’ to AB by someone that was there? Another member or past member of the group? Maybe they are a tea party participant now.;~)

OMG..did you read this part:

“In one instance, Spencer Ackerman of the Washington Independent urged his colleagues to deflect attention from Obama’s relationship with Wright by changing the subject. Pick one of Obama’s conservative critics, Ackerman wrote, “Fred Barnes, Karl Rove, who cares — and call them racists.”

These reporters are obviously still using this ‘tactic’. This is so corrupt and wrong it’s breathtaking.

The economics of wire service journalism unifies and homogenizes journalism.
The interests which news wire journalism is united around are, quite simply, their own interests. Those interests boil down to the same thing as everyone else - everyone believes in, and promotes in whatever way comes to hand, his own significance and importance.
The behavior documented in this article is as predictable as water running downhill rather than up, once you understand that journalism functionally is a single entity. They beat up on people who do not kowtow to their own interest. Because they can.
Journalism claims to be objective, because they can. And nobody points out that to claim to be objective is actually to dramatize your own subjectivity.

Media Schadenfreude and Media Shenanigans PING

The crisis reached a howling pitch in mid-April, 2008, at an ABC News debate moderated by Charlie Gibson and George Stephanopoulos. Gibson asked Obama why it had taken him so long – nearly a year since Wright’s remarks became public – to dissociate himself from them. Stephanopoulos asked, “Do you think Reverend Wright loves America as much as you do?” Watching this all at home were members of Journolist, a listserv comprised of several hundred liberal journalists, as well as like-minded professors and activists. The tough questioning from the ABC anchors left many of them outraged. “George [Stephanopoulos],” fumed Richard Kim of the Nation, is “being a disgusting little rat snake.” Others went further. According to records obtained by The Daily Caller, at several points during the 2008 presidential campaign a group of liberal journalists took radical steps to protect their favored candidate.

The DNC and MSM has colluded on a number of news stories in campaigns for the past umpteen election cycles (presidential and congressional).

Tune out the Pravda Media. They are partisan liars. They cannot be trusted to report the day's facts. Lies by omission are lies all the same.

Unfortunately, many ignorant Americans still think the MSM provides news and not editorials. One of the most important things we can do to help get our country back on track is discredit and destroy the leftist media machine.

This Journolost debacle is one that we should make the biggest story of the year. Americans become ignorant from relying on public education and the news as their trusted sources. If we don’t stop that, we’ll be in for 10 more Obamas.

This isn’t directed at anyone personally, but just a general comment....

So, everyone, raise your hand if you started a media outlet yourself. We all complain about the MSM, but am I one of the few with his arm getting tired?

Marching on DC is good. Fighting the political battles with DC is good. But how many people are actually focusing on the ways we are being defeated...the training grounds of schools, the news media, and the entertainment media?

We can fight the symptoms in DC, but the actual cause—if we truly believe that power is derived from the consent of the governed—is The People. And we are being distracted from educating our fellow citizens.

kelly4c, you have the right idea in calling out the MSM—but let’s remember that the Left is the group that’s into tearing things down...how about we focus on *creating* things that are alternatives? Protesting is fine—and I do it—but far better is when we can create something good that outcompetes what the Left has.

And no post like this can be made without a big “Thank you!” to Jim, someone who took action and created an alternative gathering spot for conservatives who were interested in the news of the day.

I remember it well. Nobody covered the Jeremiah wright stuff except conservatives. It was months before someone (from ABC) finally broke it in the lib media, and then all the rest had to cover it because it was so big.

Employees of news organizations including Time, Politico, the Huffington Post, the Baltimore Sun, the Guardian, Salon and the New Republic participated in outpourings of anger over how Obama had been treated in the media, and in some cases plotted to fix the damage.

Little surprise here.

This is what Time's political analyst, Mark Halperin, had to say when he was working as Political Director at ABCDisney News in 2004:

Halperin Memo Dated Friday October 8, 2004

It goes without saying that the stakes are getting very high for the country and the campaigns - and our responsibilities become quite grave

I do not want to set off (sp?) and endless colloquy that none of us have time for today - nor do I want to stifle one. Please respond if you feel you can advance the discussion.

The New York Times (Nagourney/Stevenson) and Howard Fineman on the web both make the same point today: the current Bush attacks on Kerry involve distortions and taking things out of context in a way that goes beyond what Kerry has done.

Kerry distorts, takes out of context, and mistakes all the time, but these are not central to his efforts to win.

We have a responsibility to hold both sides accountable to the public interest, but that doesn't mean we reflexively and artificially hold both sides "equally" accountable when the facts don't warrant that.

I'm sure many of you have this week felt the stepped up Bush efforts to complain about our coverage. This is all part of their efforts to get away with as much as possible with the stepped up, renewed efforts to win the election by destroying Senator Kerry at least partly through distortions.

It's up to Kerry to defend himself, of course. But as one of the few news organizations with the skill and strength to help voters evaluate what the candidates are saying to serve the public interest. Now is the time for all of us to step up and do that right.

And yet they wonder why the MSM is dying...

Thanks for the ping.
