I sent a note to the local editorial board who is demanding unemployment be expanded NOW.

Asked if he thought a man who admits his wife earns enough money to pay the bills but wants taxpayers to help him out so he doesn’t have to say NO to his 8 yr.

Suggested he take his kid to a food bank, a nursing home, or a senior citizen center to see what the real world is like.

This vote is for another extension of benefits beyond 99 weeks. How is someone only on UI since earlier THIS year effected?

I think the better point is that OBAMA AND REID AND PELOSI'S LEADERSHIP has made things so bad that a person can be covered for almost two complete years and STILL not be able to find a job. That is the angle that I would attack Obama with his "Republican Slam". "Well, President Obama, if you would stop strangling the Private Sector, maybe we wouldn't have to keep EXTENDING BENEFITS!"

When I was 16 years old I worked for $1.05 per hours 48 hours per week.

I would rather have had a better job but that was it!

These unemployed clowns today won't do menial jobs they are above all that but no one is talking about it!!!

What’s the opposite of “saved or created”?

And its the "saved" part that they prop up because it is TOTALLY not measurable. But even this argument can be shot full of holes. Obama claimed that the stimulus would keep unemployment rate below 8%. It did not and now they are claiming that it could be worse. Um, Mr President, claim as many "saved" jobs as you want. Your stimulus DID NOT keep unemployment below 8%. nuff said.

Truth is Carley 90% of the unemployed are just going after the fat jobs that pay a lot that are really hard to find. They should be willing to take whatever they can get,but when you have a big welfare check coming in every week.....
