Sessions :
“Throughout her career, Ms. Kagan has placed her politics above the law. She has never been a judge, never tried a case before a jury and has practiced law for only three years. She is the least experienced nominee in the last half-century.”

Graham:
“This president chose someone who is qualified, who has the experience and knowledge to serve on this court ... and understands the difference between being a liberal judge and a politician.”

But for a single Republican vote - Graham - this nomination would not have left the committee.

I don’t think that’s true. They didn’t need any Republican votes to move it out, just a majority. Alito was moved out on a straight party line vote. No Dems voted for him. The dems have an 11-7 edge. Even if Graham voted no, she still would have been moved out.

Which makes her more qualified for the job than Pres. Obama is for his.
