A British newspaper is reporting embattled BP CEO, Tony Hayward, is to resign his post by October.
The Times cites sources "close to BP" as saying: "Why keep utterly damaged goods on the shelf? They have to do some dramatic things to protect the company, and (Hayward's) credibility is now close to zero."
However, BP spokesman Scott Dean denies the Times' report, saying Hayward is still "very much in charge".
BP has been the subject of heavy international criticism since the April 20 explosion aboard its Deepwater Horizon oil rig that killed 11 workers and triggered a massive oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.
US President Barack Obama has previously been quoted as saying that if Hayward worked for him, he would have fired him by now over his response to the spill, the worst environmental disaster in US history.

Personally, I think they should clean out the whole top tier of that company. I think the guy who wanted to convince us he "cares about the small people" should be first in line to go.
I can't help but think there is something really wrong in the whole response to this disaster. I can not even imagine a corporation of that size making such a mess of things, it's almost deliberate.

So he has to walk away with ten$ of million$ in bonu$e$, ten$ of million$ in stock options (sold short before the company crashes, the captain ain’t going down with this ship), and a bank account that grew the same as if he had won the lottery while he was there? And now his options are to go run another company (because among peers, it’s never the CEO’s fault when their company crashes and burns, and there’s always another golden gig just around the corner) or spend retirement flitting between his half-dozen vacation homes and nearby cocktail parties? Wow, life is rough!

First, I believe “small people” said by a Brit is taken differently than if an American said it.
Second, the response to the spill was directed by the Zero regime. BP couldn't do a thing without clearing through the geniuses working for Zero.
Third and last. The cap that BP installed and is now testing successfully was engineered over two months (by a plumber), built a short time later and has been sitting in a crate in Mississippi waiting for Zero's people to approve the installation. I know for a fact the cap has been sitting for almost two months. One of my friends is ‘working’ the clean up in the Gulf and saw it. When I say he's been working, I mean he's been on standby waiting for Zero to give the go to start cleanup. He and over 35 guys from my company are housed in motels/hotels in Gulfport and surrounding areas doing nothing, getting paid to do nothing and getting anxious to do their jobs.
If you think there is something really wrong with the response, you're right. But it's not BP’s fault.
If you have anymore questions or comments about the situation, let me know and I'll pass it along to my friend and he can try to answer it for you.
thanks.

Well then he can come join this jerkoff Rick Scott down in Fl and they can be running mates.

His resume is practically a blank piece of paper once you throw out Community Activism.

Thank you very much Nitehawk. It is strange that BP isn't talking about this more. Why didn't they get together with Jindal and scream right along with the governors? They are laying their own destruction by keeping quiet this way.
I'm a pretty level headed person and it took me a long time to come out against BP, and I'm not alone in this.
I'm used to dealing with foreigners (especially European executives, but I disliked the chairman the minute I laid eyes on him, and that was before his "small people" comment.
