And just HOW do you figure that little gem? The Paul’s are a lot more closely attuned to the TPM than you big government “conservatives” here or the RINOs in Congress.

Want to know why the GOP grew government they way it did, just consider that Trent Lott was Majority leader until he made an unwise remark about Ole Strom.
If you want to have the Establlshment likes you you must say the right words.
But really, Trenth is worried that Congress might turn off the spending spigot and he will have to forget buying that new yacht. What a paradoy of a statesman he is!

People only shirk away from this because seeing even Republican’s doubts on display become their own doubts. These minor moves are only perceived as radical because that is how some of the GOP paint them.

Privatizing Social Security is the only way to save it and to save this country. They better get real and get out and sell it hard. This country is going bankrupt and the government isn’t a good steward of your retirement.

Leaving the UN, what they hell is the UN doing but sucking us for money. It is a waste of time and needs to be reformed. If anything we may want to make it clear that we think there should be a place for countries to gather and work together where they can but the UN has a dream of being a global government and needs to be squashed.

Rand and Ron Paul have nothing to do with the Tea Party movement.

True, Ron Paul started it (remember teaparty07.com--it seems like just yesterday!), but it has become more and more corporatist/neocon.

I think it's also humorous how the movement originally started in reaction to the out of control spending of Pres Bush and Congress, but it's now the Dems who are suddenly against it.

But Lott said he's not expecting a tea-party sweep. "I still have faith in the visceral judgment of the American people," he said.

So Lott admits he would rather have the RATS to hold onto the Senate than see real conservatives elected.

the difference between DeMint and Lott is this: Demint has a spine and Lott is still searching. Lott is/was only in it for the future when he could lobby and screw the taxpayers

“Yet some Republicans worry that tea-party candidates are settling too comfortably into their roles as unruly insurgents and could prove hard to manage if they get elected”

And you had better be worried. We’re in no mood to be “managed.” Get it?

This is why we need a Tea Party Caucus...because we can’t afford a rerun of the last 15 years.

"...some Republicans worry that tea-party candidates are settling too comfortably into their roles as unruly insurgents and could prove hard to manage if they get elected."

That's exactly the frikken point, you pansy-ass buttboys!

Tea Party candidates are winning elections precisely because they're "unruly insurgents". The people are sending them to Washington to break your noses, you lousy traitors!

p.s. FU, Trent Lott.

Democrats are hopeful that voters will focus on the potential consequences of tea-party proposals as they decide whether to hand over control of Congress to Republicans. Democratic Party officials said their easiest target, given the recent economic meltdown, is the push to privatize Social Security. A recent NBC News-Wall Street Journal poll found that 48 percent of voters were "very uncomfortable" with the idea of private retirement accounts, while another 18 percent had reservations...

I'm not interested in helping put Rs back in power if we have the same Rs in charge as the last 15 years.

I'm also not interested in working to elect extremist nutbars with political tin ears. That will ensure the revolution will be short indeed.

I don't hear Michelle Bachmann talking about the UN or privitizing SS. If the Rand Pauls can't control their loose cannons-as-mouths, someone needs to apply duct tape liberally and often.

Why is it that they have to immediately promote the most controversial issues, the ones most easy to demagogue, when there are so many that have overwhelming support?

Political malpractice. You will only insure that the Rs are in power for one term, and that power will be severely limited.

Your rhetoric is poisonous.

Ron Paul’s anti-American, 9-11 Truther nonsense stems from an evil mind that 98% of Tea Party people would reject. Rand Paul is going to needlessly hand a Senate seat to the Dems unless he distances himself from his father’s anti-Americanism.

Saving Social Security, in any form, and saving this country are mutually contradictory.

And I used to feel sorry for ole Trent Lott and how he got humiliated out of Congress. Now I realize it was a justly deserved punishment. Just go away you old air bag.

What don’t these idiots get? The tea party IS the American people. With or without support of the movement, they will be going to the polls across the country in November to vote the filthy rats out.

It is poisonous because we let others define it as such and confirm their disinformation,

Same thing happens on race matters, we just give in to the argument.

Ron Paul has many times clearly stated that he is NOT a truther and, as far as I can recall, has NEVER indulged in truther rhetoric. Not ever. You try to perpetuate a lie that has been debunked dozens of times, smearing and slandering an honorable man. Thus you are despicable, as well as a liar.
