I am wondering about that photo. I mean what is the chance that you would be taking a picture just at the instance a whale jumped out of the water and onto a boat?

Good, when there are a lot of boats out in a pod of whales.

It’s on other threads and in the news. The follow up shots from Yahoo show what happened to the boat. It was off South Africa. The steel hull was fine but the masts/topside was trashed. The whale swam away.

"I am wondering about that photo. I mean what is the chance that you would be taking a picture just at the instance a whale jumped out of the water and onto a boat?" That whale was swimming around for a while, about 1/2 an hour or so. They were probably watching it. So, it was VERY possible to take that picture.

It was reported that the boaters were harrassing the whales and many were watching them, it’s not suprising the photo was taken, looks like the response was expected.
