The Most Transparent Administration Evah has yet another example of doublespeak and opacity uncovered by the Associated Press. A lengthy investigation shows that the Department of Homeland Security investigated people making Freedom of Information Act requests for their politics, and delaying legally mandated disclosures based on political considerations. The demands for information included the party affiliation of those making the requests, a policy that came from the top:
For at least a year, the Homeland Security Department detoured requests for federal records to senior political advisers for highly unusual scrutiny, probing for information about the requesters and delaying disclosures deemed too politically sensitive, according to nearly 1,000 pages of internal e-mails obtained by The Associated Press. …
Career employees were ordered to provide Secretary Janet Napolitano’s political staff with information about the people who asked for records — such as where they lived, whether they were private citizens or reporters — and about the organizations where they worked.

So Janet Napolitano is the “fed” who is telling Hawaii that they can’t make legally-required disclosures. Now I know how I need to approach this issue in Hawaii.
I said in a thread recently that the push to allow targeted assassinations of US citizens deemed to be enemies of the US (without due process) will result in people like myself being executed. There is no doubt at all that Janet Napolitano has targeted “vexatious requestors” like myself for unequal treatment. Right now that unequal treatment is to deny us what is legally ours in terms of information. When targeted assassinations are allowable, it will allow her to deny us the right to life.
The groundwork is being laid in an eerily calculated, systematic way.
I think we can’t afford to wait for the election. I think we need huge protests demanding that these lawless thugs be brought to justice and the rule of law be brought back to our land.
This could be hugh and series! Surely this will piss off even the Obama Tribe Media.
We have become only slaves. Shall we like Spartacus rebel against the new Rome? Will we loose and be crucified on the highways to Washington? Or will we like our triumphant founders prevail?

A check of government records could tell us whether Obama’s mother was outside the country in August 1961. Perhaps this is the reason why Dr.C cannot get the straight answer to his FOIA request from January 2009.

The information I have is that entry and exit records do not exist that far back (1961).

“ABANDONED” PRACTICE UNDER SCRUTINY
The Hawaii Department of Health was caught doing something similar when they inadvertently disclosed to The Post & Email, which requested and paid for numerous UIPA requests, emails which revealed that they were “checking out” requesters on the internet to determine their political leanings.
A FOIA request made by Mr. Kenneth Allen of Arizona for the travel records of Stanley Ann Soetoro and Lolo Soetoro was made on February 9, 2009, and was not fulfilled, forcing Allen to file a lawsuit.
Despite a judge’s order that the information be released by June 30, 2010, in a recent email exchange with Mr. Allen, The Post & Email learned that he still has received nothing.
Allen stated:
…not only the DOJ but the Judge is stonewalling now…I believe in my heart they won’t release those docs because they show Obama’s mother was in Kenya at the time of his birth.
Allen had also requested the records of “Barry Soetoro,” reasoning that he should receive them
“Because … Barack Obama denies he was ever called Barry Soetoro it shouldn’t be a problem with transparency when it comes to producing the requested records … And because Barry Soetoro is not a citizen, as defined by the law, he isn’t protected by the FOIA.”
Despite Eric Holder’s statement that ““The Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. § 552, reflects our nation’s fundamental commitment to open government,”
the Department of Justice has refused to release any information on “Barack Hussein Obama” or “Barry Soetoro” to Mr. Allen,
who had claimed that “Barry Soetoro is neither a citizen of the United States nor an alien with permanent residence and…
Soetoro would have had to have gone through immigration and customs at some point between 1961 and 2009.”

If memory serves, Allen is not seeking Obama’s records any longer, only Stanley Ann and Lolo.
