Bachmann: Subpoenas and Hearings Are Coming in 2011 (w/ audio)

Want a sneak preview for what the 2011 legislative calendar has in store?

The Intrade prediction market is giving the GOP a 57-percent shot of taking back the House of Representatives this fall, meaning it is more likely to happen than not. And a lot of polls seem to be indicating the same thing. But should that happen, then what?

According to Rep. Michele Bachmann, R-Minn., the House Republicans should exercise their power to subpoena and hold continuous hearings. Speaking to a gathering for the GOP Youth Convention on July 22 in Washington, D.C., she emphasized this point.

“Oh, I think that’s all we should do,” Bachmann said. “I think that all we should do is issue subpoenas and have one hearing after another. And expose all the nonsense that is going on. And it’s very important when we come back that we have constitutional conservative leadership because the American people’s patience is about this big.”

Bachmann expressed her concern over the stake the government has in the private economy, which has grown since President Barack Obama was sworn in as President of the United States.

This could backfire. However, they could first start by calling the DOJ over the Black Panther crap. This is a lose/lose for the Obama administration.

My question is, what happens if the Democrats hold congress? Not sure if anyone realizes this but if the Republicans do not take congress in 2010, next up would be Fairness Doctrine, the takeover of more industries and the final destruction of the Constitution. If we lose, by 2012 we will be Venezuela

Right On. Can you imagine the corruption & fraud in this coming election & the pubbies will not do anything about it. This is not any sure thing for the dumb party to take over & if so watch them blow it.

First up will be Eric Holder, unless he tries to defy the subpoena.

“Oh, I think that’s all we should do,” Bachmann said. “I think that all we should do is issue subpoenas and have one hearing after another.

One the one hand, I welcome this. An Administration and Congress waging war against each other with subpoenas and hearings will be too busy to do too much damage to the rest of the country. On the other hand, voters do not want to hear that all Republicans want to do once in power is issue subpoenas and have one hearing after another - could be the fastest way to a Democratic restoration in 2012.

Instead of hearings, they need to repeal or defund Healthcare and thwart Obama’s agenda any way they can; introduce bills that will help get us back on track ....this is ridiculous.

I weep for Representative Bachmann and the good people like her. Our Affirmative Action Kenyan Muslim Pres__ent has been ignoring subpoenas for months, and he now has all the legislation he needs in place. If the only challenges he faces are legal ones, he can stomp Michele Bachmann, you, me, and the rest of white America literally to death. And he’s too stupid to realize that when he “triumphs,” he will rule only rubble.

Republicans better start working on jobs and dismantling Obamacare. Endless hearings will be seen as the usual politics and could cost Republicans in 2012

Given the leadership Michelle has demonstrated in light of the GOP House and Senate collapse, she should be the next speaker of the house. We really need to put the tired old losers of the GOP in the back of the bus. We need new ideas and vision, power, enthusiam and people who can string two words together in front of a crowd and camera.

Michelle is THE ONE.

...and Senator Pothole was over-eager. Had he waited for the investigation into Foster’s “suicide” to be completed, a lot of avenues into the WH would have opened. Instead, it was, “We can’t say anything about an on-going investigation.” Many threads were left in the breeze and there was never a follow-up. Al, and the Republicans came out of it looking like jerks....not an inapt depiction.
