The JournoList is an annotated list of sites chosen to help reporters, writers and editors make good use of the Internet.
Journalists need the Internet Whether you are covering a story, writing a feature, editing someone's copy or doing background research, the Internet can provide masses of detailed background. It will also help you find new ideas and new contacts, if you know where to look. But few journalists have been trained in how to work online. This site provides a quick guide to the basics.
The links on the left lead to pages about the different ways you can use the Internet in journalism. Each page contains links that I have found useful, as an experienced magazine and newspaper journalist. I am based in Britain, but not all the links are about the UK.
That's funny right there.
This is a British website. No connection to the Journolist LISTSERV!
A thesaurus of alternate lies and misrepresentations to lay at the feet of republicans to protect the lies and misrepresentations coming from Team Obama.
“MINISTRY OF PROPAGANDA AND LIES”
Obvious, 99% of Freepers have no idea what a listserv is, and would not know MajorDomo if it fingered their nym.
I guess that means they have only used the internet since the invention of the World Wide Web. Noobies.
listserv, the earliest life form of the web for collaborating ... When computers were weenies and text email was king. It’s fascinating they would bring back from the dead an old technology, to hide the new. Probably because everybody was on Blackberrys
BTW, we had a Majordomo listserv running during the 1994 defolyate campaign to coordinate our attacks on Rep Foley. Any Linux box comes basically with it built in, all you need do is download the the software, set up as many as you want. perl scripting was the backbone of UNIX back then.
There are plenty of better ways to collaborate today. Some tools are designed for just that. But software like Majordomo, LISTSERV and ListProc, may work well with mobile devices.
The news here is formerly respected journolist coordinating and colluding, while trying to appear as independent orginazations, all to bring down conservatives. Credibility is totally shot for the journolists news media after this.
The irony is delicious.
Looks like a bit of camouflage, actually. For when the peasants with the pitchforks turn on the listserv.
I was using ham radio listservs back in 1992. Still do in fact.
