This movement is you, your family, your friends and your neighbors in the street making a difference. It is the people calling, signing petitions, blogging and doing everything in their power to make a difference in their communities and states. Those are the things that will change Washington, DC, not a person on a news show. FOX News does not lead us, the Republican Party does not lead us, it is you who awoke and said I can make a difference and you certainly are making that difference.
Will the Tea Party Revolution implode or continue to gain steam? That depends on you. As far as leaders go, if you want to see the real leaders of the movement, simply walk into your restroom and look in the mirror. You are the People who make the movement. You are the leaders. You are We the People. What do you say we keep it that way?

((((Wishful thinking PING)))
The Tea Party needs a new banner and fly it at every Tea Party gathering across the country.
Tea Party
“I am America”
I am White
I am Black
I am Hispanic
I am Asian
I am every race in America
I am not racist
Only in your wet dreams darla.
LLS
Ditto!
“Is the Tea Party imploding???....”
Only in their dreams. Some of the people who CLAIM to speak for the “TEA Party” don’t even have a clue themselves. I speak for me. No one else speaks FOR ME and I am damb sure not imploding. Not today...and not anytime soon.
I sincerely hope you're right, but there wasn't much of a shakeup in the primaries. I'm not optimistic that there will be a shakeup in Nov. Take morons like Sheila Jackson Lee - the kongresswoman from texas who thought that the Apollo mission put men on Mars. She's going to be reelected for three reasons: She's black in a black district. She's a democrat who believes in stealing from the hardworking and dispensing the plunder to her moronic electorare. Oh and did I mention she's black in a black district.
Look at the halfwit black democrat Hank Johnson from rat cheer in GA. who thought that too many navy personnel would tip over the island of Guam. - breezed right through his primary. This to me does not indicate a big shakeup coming in Nov.
Imploding??
We have not yet begun to fight!
“Tea party” sentiments are not “imploding” at all, but the natural tendency of some ambitious people to give the movement a name (”pin it”, in the words of Alinsky) and become its “leaders” is certainly threatening to turn the 2009 grassroots movement into the same kind of laughingstock that ‘MoveOn’ quickly became 10 years ago.
If I’m a Republican candidate in 2010 I definitely distance myself, albeit carefully, the way Cantor did.
Hand to chest, check.
Hand to leg, check.
Hand to arm, check.
Hand to face, check.
Nope, no signs of imploding. Everything still seems to be in the right place and proportion. lol
Hey, what ever happened to that latest Tea Party wannabe thing the commies dreamed up? The one from just a few weeks ago? It was not the Coffee Party, not the Crash the Tea Party, it was something else. Like I said, the one from just a few weeks ago.
I cant quite remember the name
The full impact of the Tea Parties won’t be known until 2012 when the GOP will be compelled to run a candidate for prez. For better or worse someone will get elected. Some will approve of the candidate, others will not. We can learn a lesson from the Confederate States of the Civil War. Military issues aside, the Confederacy was politically weak due to the fiercely independent nature of the respective states. They could agree on little so they got nothing. I’m not convinced that conservatives will be able to successfully negotiate amongst themselves to narrow down the GOP choices to a single viable candidate. I fear another John McCain.
Unless the GOP does away with all these open primaries, I'm afraid conservatives won't have any say in the matter at all.
Things were bad enough last time around. But if Obama has no primary challenger in 2012, then *every* single democrat in those open-primary states will be free to cross over and foist another McCain on us.
After the Tea Party came Concord and Lexington. Is it time to move on?
It’s almost like you read the article instead of just posting...! You’re the oddball on this thread.
Bullcr&p. The "movement" will NOT implode. Seems to be catching more and more steam as time goes by.
Of course, in such a big group, there will be a few who would like to dominate or "lead". They haven't succeeded so far, nor do I think they will. There has always been "disagreements" at a lot of local tea parties I've attended....."stick to one message" & "Fox News is part of the problem", etc.
The Tea Party is a mix-mash of grassroot.....EVERYONE from EVERY walk of life represents it. Well, at least those trying to salvage what's left of our country.
Personally, I believe that is why there will never be a "leader"......it is impossible, nor do we want one; therefore, I don't see it happening.
OMG, I LOVE that song! It’s quite a catchy tune too!
It should be sung at every event. Those going to DC to see Glenn Beck should memorize it and Glenn should lead them in song. It just about says it all.
I am the teaparty. I carry whiteboard and markers in my trunk. I randomly protest at town hall, the county govt building, and anywhere else that taxes me. I am the teaparty.

I plan on being in DC in September, but I believe they changed the date.
I’m going to have to get my day straight so I can order my Amtrak ticket!
