An appliance manufacturer has changed policies at its freezer plant in St. Cloud that will make it possible for its Muslim employees to observe Ramadan.

The North American division of the Sweden-based Electrolux Group announced Friday that it had adjusted its meal schedule so that its Muslim employees will be able to break their fast at sundown during the annual observance.

Earlier this week, the Minnesota chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR-MN) asked that the Muslim employees be allowed to bring a snack onto the plant's production floor so they can break their fast at sundown. During Ramadan, which begins the second week of August, Muslims refrain from eating and drinking from sunrise to sunset.

Electrolux earlier this year adopted a new policy that bars all food from the plant's production floor.

Most of the 300 employees who work the evening shift are Muslims, the group said.

What kind of discrimination BS is this?

Is Electrolux sold under any brands in the US? I will never buy their sh*t.

CAIR is backed, funded and control by Saudi Arabia who is also a shareholder in Fox NEws.

Electrolux makes electrolux stuff, go figure. Go to http://www.electroluxusa.com/welcome/ and read about the stuff they make so you won’t buy it.

CAIR doesn’t care about the snack. They are just inching their way into America and overturning it’s laws bit by bit.

Islam is a virus. It should be eradicated, not accomodated.

“Most of the 300 employees who work the evening shift are Muslims, the group said.”......who are most likely living in government subsidized housing and getting food stamps.
Otherwise there would be no reason for them to congregate in St. Cloud, which is becoming the Berkly of Minnesota.

They sell plenty of stuff under their own name. Started with most vacuums and other floor care items, but now make larger home appliances, refrig, freezers, stoves, ovens, microwaves, washer/dryer, etc.

Frigidare was sold to White, and then to Electrolux in '86.

Why do they assume all of these “muslim workers” care about following these supposedly religious rules?

Once again, political correctness in the West is the best promoter of sharia

And we are free to condemn them under the law.

Certainly there’s time in the production schedule to wolf down a BLT or at least snack on a bag of pork rinds. This is America, after all!
