As a Mexican, I’m optimistic, that there are many deep soul searching Mexicans that are taking steps to get rid of the corruption. I see it in the youth. Many are sick and tired of the violence. Many at the grass roots level are taking back their own streets.

Agree with your assessment. NOT of Mexican heritage here, but have worked closely with, and amongst those of Mexican heritage for many years in various off dock industries, and in trucking outside the Los Angeles, Long Beach harbor areas. It takes one Hell of a lot to get them to take action as they fear retribution, but there is the tipping point, and I believe I saw it approaching prior to my retirement, thus disassociation with the industries, and people.

It would be interesting to know if that direction I observed continued. I don’t see any action by the communities yet in news sources, but not seeing anything in news sources isn’t unusual anymore. They print only what they believe works in their favor it seems.

I’m glad to hear that because only Mexicans can reshape Mexico.
