Juan’s commie lib friends in the state run “media” have been crucifying J.D. If only Juan had gone after the Kenyan Manchild this way, we’d have an American president and a pretty bright VP instead of the two morons we’ve got.
I didn't realize that a pretend "virtual" fence plus amnesty was considered "moderate."
If that is moderate, what is considered a "liberal" immigration compromise? Issuing everyone who walks across the border a hundred stolen Soc Sec numbers and automatic Rat party voter registration?
We can only pray that this is all misinformaton and that the GOP voters of Ariz. won’t allow themselves to be deceived yet a 4th time!
It’s a shame. JD is not all he says he is. Yes, he voted for “the bridge to nowhere” and other pork as a congresscritter, and yes, he made an advertisement for “free money” from the government. Not much different than the guy with the question marks all over his suit.
I vote in AZ and I really don’t feel that JD has a chance in hell, even if I believe that he is still a far better concervative than McCain. I will still vote for him, but it’s soley to make sure that McCain doesn’t sweep. At least Juan will know there are Arizonans that see through his facade.
After its all over and the dance is done, you can bet that McCain will jump right over to the Washington coctail circuit way of thinking. Hell, he might even start vacationing with the Obama’s.
I wish we had a better candidate.
He was saving it up to fight the Conservatives!
I’ve noticed nobody is coming forth with post-debate polling in this race. Everyone is still citing the pre-debate polls like they still matter. Anyone who actually watched any part of those debates would have a hard time concluding McCain deserves another six years.
“a June Rasmussen Reports survey showed McCain enjoying a commanding lead of 47 percent to 36 percent.”
I’ll wait till they come out with a new poll. That 19% is so far away from any other poll that i have to question its veracity.
here is proof that time for talking and waiting on failed elections is over
I hear that.
Chris Ruddy at Newmax is a heavy contributor to the McCain campaign. Check it out at the FEC site.
Don't believe everything you hear in the "media". I've been to Ketchikan, AK, would be home to the so-called "bridge to nowhere". I've seen it with my own eyes. The proposed bridge doesn't go "nowhere". It would go to an island where the town's airport, the main source of transportation in and out, is located. There are also people who live there on the island and there's a large timber operation there as well. Ketchikan is land locked. The only way in is by air or sea, or hiking if you are so bold. Alaska is still more or less a frontier state. After seeing the situation I realized right away that the proposed bridge was needed. All they hype about the "bridge to nowhere" is exactly that. Hype dreamed up by the laimstream media......
The "large timber operation" has not produced so much as a toothpick for the last two years.
The airport is quite adequately accessed by a five minute ferry ride.
It is NOT possible to 'hike' to Ketchikan. It is on an island.
Governor Palin was not a bridge proponent after she visited Ketchikan.
Believe it or not, there are FReepers in KTN.
why do all these posters fall for a PAID PUSH POll by some unknwn outfit called the “ Bahavioral research center “????
Does any questionm this crap like what the hell is this center and why is it doing polling and who paid for it ???
Lets not act like stupid serfs on
this website.
I rarely go to the Newsmax site. Maybe this is why. To find a more slobbering commentary about a candidate, one would have to dig out the old Chris Matthews, leg tingling video concerning Obama.
And if Governor Brewer is falling for McCain’s election year flip/flops and lies, then she is far less savvy than she seems. The ability of Arizonans to support extreme, opposite sides of the same issue seems endless.
Is it true that Brewer endorsed McQueeg?
It was producing a lot more than toothpicks when I was there three years ago.
It is NOT possible to 'hike' to Ketchikan. It is on an island.
No kidding! It was a joke. Whoosh!
Governor Palin was not a bridge proponent after she visited Ketchikan.
The point of my post was to illustrate the way people fell for the media hype over the so-called "bridge to nowhere". The Ketchikan bridge is half a drop in the ocean of gubmint pork compared to the runaway spending that is going on within the halls of Congress. At least it would have been built on American soil to serve Americans! People in the media ballyhooed the theft perpetrated by Bernie Maddoff, but he's a pickpocket in comparison to the theft that Congress is committing against the American taxpayers. Just look at what a complicit media hides for them. We're talking about a few hundred million dollars here for the Ketchikan bridge. Ketchikan is on American soil and it would have served American citizens. The point isn't whether or not Palin endorsed the bridge or whether it was even needed. Whether or not it was needed could be successfully argued either way. I couldn't care less about that. As an example, where was the media when Obamalamadingdong signed away BILLIONS in loan guarantees to Brazil to develop their offshore deep sea oil resources while our own Gulf of Mexico oil field, not to mention the NPR, is in limbo? Nevermind we're a hundred trillion in debt and don't have the money to loan. Hardly a peep out of the "media" on that one. I can cite literally hundreds of similar examples of horribly wasteful gubmint spending that are orders of magnitude higher than the Ketchikan bridge, much of it going overseas to less than friendly nations, yet not a peep out of what passes for media in this country. The taxpayers are being played like a well tuned fiddle, courtesy of the US media. Get it?
Believe it or not, there are FReepers in KTN.
Glad to have you on board.
It was indeed producing then. But the mill has not operated for the past two years, and prospects are very bleak.
No kidding! It was a joke. Whoosh!
Sorry, I didn't recognize the 'joke': ("Ketchikan is land locked. The only way in is by air or sea, or hiking if you are so bold.")
The point of my post was to illustrate the way people fell for the media hype over the so-called "bridge to nowhere".
Perhaps that was you intent, but your post was a campaign to build the bridge. I replied to correct the factual errors you posted.
The point isn't whether or not Palin endorsed the bridge or whether it was even needed.
So in this case, because the cost is so relatively miniscule (only a few hundred million), go ahead and fund this bridge?
The principle is the same; the only difference is the number of zeros.
Whether or not it was needed could be successfully argued either way. I couldn't care less about that.
The 'need' versus the cost is the issue. In this case, a five hundred million dollar bridge to serve ONLY 13,000 people on a remote island during a population decline with no growth predicted for the next twenty years just doesn't strike me as responsible spending.
The taxpayers are being played like a well tuned fiddle, courtesy of the US media. Get it?
Not really. The 'US media' is decieving us?!?!!
this is a joke, kinda
Glad to have you on board.
Glad to have been here for the past eight years.
JD is a MUCH better conservative than McCain.
It’s a pity that McCain is using all his money to trash a conservative ... this is not about McCain doing great, this is about how McCain opened up on JD’s weaknesses. this is not good for conservatives, it would be better to see McCain lose as a shot across the bow to the RINOs.
OTOH, we have other good conservatives to win in the general election.
