An Iced Tea Party? (Dem Midterm Strategy)
The POLITICO ^ | July 20, 2010 | BY Mary Frances Berry

Posted on 07/26/2010 8:49:21 AM PDT by Brad from Tennessee

Tainting the tea party movement with the charge of racism is proving to be an effective strategy for Democrats. There is no evidence that tea party adherents are any more racist than other Republicans, and indeed many other Americans. But getting them to spend their time purging their ranks and having candidates distance themselves should help Democrats win in November. Having one’s opponent rebut charges of racism is far better than discussing joblessness.

Yet the reality is that the Progressive ideology is entrenched in racism and continues to push policies that deprive people of a right to individual liberty and to deny people of a equal right to representation for all.

How many ideoligical stances of the progressive movement originated from the days of the KKK/progressive movement alliance?

Abortion is a progressive policy stance by ideolgical progressives that originated with the progressive movements KKK days whereas they also held views of eugenics. Where their ideolgical leader Margaret Sanger used to be a speaker in front of the KKK.

Separation of Church and State originated with the progressive movements ideological hero FDR and his appointment to the Supreme Court of KKK lawyer Hugo Black. The progressive movement worship this bigoted doctrine of discrimination in the public square against all who hold religious views. Originally the KKK had adopted this stance as well when they called for boycots of religious ceremonies in Congress because republicans had invited blacks to participate as well.

These progressives need to be called out on their own ideolgical bigotry and racism. They still today believe that the Poeple do not have a EQUAL right to representation on issues including on how sexuality is dealt with publically. The progressives want to push their bigoted and perverse morality on the Poeple and to deny us our rights.

The “Dems” and their allies in the press will pull out all the stops and snag all of those “brilliant” Independents at the polls.

IMHO

I disagree. I think it has re-energized the Tea Party and those who favor it and/or agree with its principles.

"But getting them to spend their time purging their ranks and having candidates distance themselves should help Democrats win in November."

That is all that matters to the party of Alinsky...winning the power to control every aspect of life.

Truth, integrity, honor...those are silly, relative notions that have no place in pursuit of their misguided obsession of what is best for the masses in the eyes of the Democrat Party.

Mary Francis Berry, no doubt planning to retire where life is more “fair”. Havana, Caracas or Pyongyang perhaps?

‘taint working!

the left has been organizing so many inbred astroturf communities, they seem pretty clueless about dealing with a real populist movement that transcends gender race and even political party

She is also a past failed chancellor of Unidiversity of Colorado- when black students took over buildings and made some racial demands, she caved to them

then left

She is as dumb and as rasist as they come- and making a living off black anger and white guilt for almost 40 years, by my guess

More wishful thinking from the Progressive Fascist propagandists at Politco You have to wonder if they ever bother to think for even a second about how this sort of blatant Jouroslist style propagandizing for the DNC reflects on their intellectual credibility.

What is most interesting about the current turmoil is that this decades-old ploy has failed to work, and the dismay you hear in the voices of those accustomed to using it is "well, it always worked before." And so it did. And because it did, a couple of generations of opportunists have used it to advance their careers within the very lucrative civil rights industry.

What you see here, and Berry is likely to be among the first to recognize it, is a meal ticket disappearing. That's a very bad thing for the ones at the trough, and I would not expect them to let it go without a furious fight. It isn't overly cynical to note the number of media and academic careers, multi-thousand-dollar wardrobes, seats on boards, committees, and university chairs, that depend primarily on the ability to name another human being a racist or to threaten to do so if certain concessions aren't made.

Pushback terrifies these people, most of all the ones in the media. They mean not to allow it, but lo and behold! suddenly it can't be stopped. There was virtually no warning that this particular playing of the race card was one time too many. They're in a state of shock that it was. They'll be out of that shortly and the screaming will be a thing to hear - just in time for the November elections. That isn't a good strategy for the Dems, it's disastrous.
