Richard Epstein is a libertarian law professor at the University of Chicago (and also NYU School of Law.) He's not merely a law professor; he a scholar who brings economics, game theory, etc. to bear on important political issues. He's smart.

The above link is to a java player of a 1-hour lecture.

Remember, it's too early to despair. Repeal is impossible until 2013, but effective repeal is possible by de-funding, when the House of Representatives turns Republican next year. Plus, some of the most brilliant legal minds in the country are backing the lawsuits against ObamaCare, and the Heller and MacDonald decisions indicate that there may be 5 Justices willing to do the right thing (and the constitutional thing) and void the guts of this law.

Lacking an hour to listen, thanks for your summary which I think hits the main points of action regarding Obamacare.

Unfortunately I have a feeling that we may be pushed over the proverbial economic cliff even without the added burden of trying to pay for it. So much depends on what happens in the rest of the world, how our bankers in China feel, and some yet-unknown trigger event that could bring down the house of cards. Sorry to be a bummer but the Dems have taken us down the slippery slope and Obamacare is only one of the lubricants.
