The expected purge is starting.
Interesting that they use the classic cult programming technique of pitting members against each other in "critiques" and publicly shaming them so as to break down their ego.
I can believe it. Back in my young stupid hippie days, I fell in with someone who used this same technique. It's very effective against those who are emotionally fragile, and it has the added benefit of spiraling your self esteem right down in the crapper, which makes you even more susceptible to manipulation.
Surprised the ‘session’ didn’t involve pistols.
If my best friend in the world ruthlessly criticises me as a means of saving his own life, it’s not gonna bother me that much. Maybe I’m missing something about this technique, but it seems like it wouldn’t be effective if you knew what the game was.
Worse. Vuvuzelas.
It’s not that easy, self critisism to save your
self further breaks down any self esteem.
Keep in mind this society is so concerned
with “face” that these sessions can be devestating.
I would not be surprised to see several suicides
as a result.
... or at least car batteries.
poor guys - wish this would make national news
Steve Allen wrote a story many years ago called “The Public Hate”. In the story, a man was executed by being placed in the center of a stadium, and the public was invited as though to a sporting event. At the appointed time, the audience all started hating the man, which eventually resulted in his death.
Steve Allen’s story was titled “The Public Hating”.
“Consciousness raising,” N. Korean style.
To raise the consciousness, they apparently have to break it first.:-)
North Korea version of being fired in 3 2 1 LOL!
