Arizona should enforce the law, tell the judge and attorney general to pound sand and use their non-enforcement of federal law is the precedent to ignore the judge’s ruling. Challenge this criminal administration to do something that will be seen as unconstitutional and wrong. The other states should also fully back Arizona in their actions.

This is going to take years to get to through the courts.

One positive result could be an issue for JD Hayworth to beat traitor McCain with.

Every American should stop Paying taxes. Period. Then when the government comes and trys to take you to court just use the same logic that if the Illegals can break the law and get away with it so can I! Ok I can dream right?

Liberal judge makes liberal ruling - shocking.

She is basically saying, only the Feds can enforce immigration law and if the Feds won’t do it, the states are powerless to act.

The Supreme Court will probably reverse this under its current makeup, but my guess is the the lower courts will do everything they can to slow the progress of the case in the hopes that a conservative leaning Supreme Court judge dies while waiting for the case.

without many of the provisions that angered opponents — including sections that required officers to check a person's immigration status while enforcing other laws.

Just heard Peter Johnson on FOX saying (I'm paraphrasing) that the MANDATORY part of checking immigration status is blocked but the LEO CAN ask if he/she thinks there is a suspicion.

I think getting the illegals by LEOs is still in, even being NOT REQUIRED to do so.

If I'm reading this correctly, it's just a temporary injunction until the court can finish hearing the case,

Yea.. that's what it sounds like. All is not lost, yet.

How in the world, is it "controversial" to say illegals can't seek employment in a public place? That mystifies me??

Correct. The feds asked for a temporary injunction. This ruling is only the first of many in a lengthy legal process, and we should see this eventually elevated to the Supremes.

[So I guess, License, Registration, and Proof of Insurance, is out of the question now?]

All illegals driving a car are also driving without a valid license and without insurance. Where do their license plates come from? They are also by definition employed illegally and unlikely to be paying income taxes or SS. They also may have assumed someone elses identity papers. That’s where we begin, much less getting to the flat out narco criminals.

So, what they are arguing is that it is no longer illegal to be illegal. If that is the case, then it should no longer be illegal to ignore the Feds.

Comment to the original article:

I have my own immigration law....I do not hire Mexicans.

They have now forced us to racially profile. Anyone who looks hispanic has got to be treated as an illegal alien since we have no way to determine if they are legal or not.

Do the legal latinos realize the damage they have just done to themselves? There are no longer any legitimate reasons to hire a hispanic.

This judge blocked the parts of the law by asking for a preliminary injunction. In other words, the case hasn’t been decided yet, its just blocking the part of the law that may be called “unconstitutional” until the case IS decided.

AZ should go ahead and enforce the law. It is the law both state and federal. She is not practicing the law; she is being political. When are people going to realize the people are the law? Congress, the President, these judges are there temporarily to do what the people want; not what they want.

Just enforce the law; not what this judge wants or the Congress or the President and his administration. They are employees.

Just remember we have the last word; not them.

Arizona police should stop enforcement of ANY Federal Law. It’s not their jurisdiction according to the Feds and this Judge. Remove from their books any duplicates on State Code that is already covered by US Code.

All other States should follow suit. Feds want to do the enforcement of their? MAKE THEM.
