Obama revisits Sherrod's firing (as always take 0 responsibility)

The firing of Agriculture Department official Shirley Sherrod was a “bogus controversy,” President Obama said Thursday.

“She deserves better than what happened last week,” Obama said at the National Urban League as he gave a speech on education. “When a bogus controversy based on selective and deceiving excerpts led to her forced resignation, now, many are to blame for the reaction and overreaction that followed these comments, including my own administration.”

Obama called Sherrod an “exemplary woman” and said her story reflects both “challenges” and “progress we’ve made.” He said the cable TV debate should be scrapped for a different conversation, in which “we should all look inward and examine what’s in our own hearts.”

I rarely, if ever watch POTUS on tv when he give his speeches. Today, I happened to be at a car dealership waiting for my car and they had the TV tuned into Barry as he spoke to the Urban League.

As I watched his speech for about 10 minutes, a few things quickly became obvious. First, POTUS changes his voice when speaking to black audiences, his cadence is different and he extend the ends of words at the end of sentences.

Second, he panders pathetically to his black audiences. The first half of his speech was about what he is doing to help blacks, not Americans. The two biggest reactions he got were when he said he was ready to sign a law equalizing the prison terms for crack and powder cccaine, the second was for all the Federal cash he is sending to 'black' colleges.

Now to the point about Shirley Sherrod. When he started explaining how she had been grievously wronged when she was 'forced to resign', he blamed the blogger who put out the tape, and he blamed 'my own administration' for their over reaction. WTH? Who the hell is in charge of his administration? Doesn't the buck stop with him? The guy is acting as if he is in an MTV reality show rather than POTUS. Every day he seems less Presidential.

After he started talking education, I could take no more and walked away.

we should all look inward and examine what’s in our own hearts

And by 'we' he of course means everyone who's not himself or one of his followers.

Did o’Zer0 really speak the word ‘bogus’?

I would think his tongue would ignite.

Oh yeah, gotta agree that the Sherrod resignation/firing/possible rehiring was a ‘bogus controversy’, but not in the way Obama’s trying to cast it.
It’s a charade the ultimate objective of which was to get a lot of things discussed, out there in the public MSM wheelhouse, with a carefully circumscribed ‘universe of discourse’ to orbit around it, and the ultimate objective or goal being both to show moderate AMerica how hardline Obama can be when he comes down on ‘their side’ of an issue, but wait, how also ‘reasonable’ he can be when he sanitizes the racist Shirley Sherrod, and sets the ENTIRE issue to rest. Chalk up another ‘win-win’ for Obama: this thing was a charade from Day One, when they found the perfect angle through which to set Breitbart’s tape out there, and play with it for public consumption.

I wonder if ‘the buck stops here’ as obamma has said before, meaning him?

Ousted Agriculture Department employee Shirley Sherrod said Thursday she will sue a conservative blogger who posted an edited video of her making racially tinged remarks last week.

The edited video posted by Andrew Breitbart led Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack to ask Sherrod to resign, a decision he reconsidered after seeing the entire video of her March speech to a local NAACP group. In the full speech, Sherrod spoke of racial reconciliation and lessons she learned after initially hesitating to help a white farmer save his home.

She said she doesn’t want an apology from Breitbart for posting the video that took her comments out of context, but told a crowd at the National Association of Black Journalists annual convention that she would “definitely sue.”

I strongly believe that obamma approved of this firing! There is no way on God’s green earth that a white manager would fire a black woman, when his boss is obamma. No way!!!

"I didn't know, I didn't fire her, it's that darn Glen Beck who edited the tape in order to brainwash the entire viewing public, And all officials of the USDA, NAACP, and WHITE HOUSE. He put subliminal messages on the tape which make white people think they hear the NAACP members CHEERING when Sherrod starts mentioning how she was prejudiced against someone because of color.

Can we get those house lights turned down a little?

I swear, I'm not lying.

What did Breibart do other than show and excerpt from her speech?

I mean, we know this lady and her husband have been to the hog trough of compensation via a civil law suit before, but what would be her charges? What are the damages. The tape was not fabricated, not doctored....just like a thousand other tapes that liberal News Casts show on Rush, Palin etc...

If she can get a majority black jury, then she will win whatever she sues for. (ie. OJ Simpson)
