New bride Chelsea Clinton would do well to keep a close eye on her millions after she marries Marc Mezvinsky this weekend.
Of course, Marc’s not responsible for the sins of his father, Ed “Fast Talkin Eddie’ Mezvinsky, who according to the FBI investigators was a “one-man crime wave” for over 20 years. And like a lot of criminals who get caught he’s probably a changed man after six and a half years in a federal prison in Pensacola, Florida. Released in April, 2008 he’s out in time to witness the nuptials at the John Jacob Astor IV estate in Rhinebeck, NY at an estimated cost of nearly $2 million.
A former Iowa Congressman elected in 1972 Mezvinsky engaged in fraudulent business schemes from 1980 to his arrest in 2001. He pleaded guilty to 39 of 69 charges of bank, wire and mail fraud after bilking at least 10 million out of family, friends and business partners. He often used his association with the Clintons in his schemes. Now with Marc, his son, marrying the only offspring of Bill and Hillary the families will merge their talents and millions together.
Maybe Fast Talkin Eddie (who went from that nickname to “Crazy Eddie” after his incarceration) can help the Clintons out with those tax cuts for the rich about to expire in January. Hillary Clinton stated recently:
‘The rich are not paying their fair share in a nation that is facing this kind of unemployment issue-whether it’s individual, corporate or whatever form of taxation.”

FWIW, John Jacob Astor IV was the wealthy plutocrat who on the night of the Titanic disaster in 1912 placed his pregnant young wife safely into a lifeboat and then went bravely down with the ship.
Any bets on how long this marriage will last before one or both start cheating?
The part that makes me ill is that they can afford 5 million on a wedding and she’s still begging for money to retire her campaign debt. Disgusting.
