Change that to “Do not collect $200 billion dollars for Freddie and Fannie”

Let me be clear that Mr. Rangel
under these rules was given opportunities to negotiate a settlement during the investigation.
See highlighted part. It is in the rules and he failed to take the offer.

“Why was he given a chance to make a deal?”
What was McCaul supposed to do - violate House rules? He apparently proceeded according to House rules.

Does Rangel have a GOP opponent in the General Election on Nov. 2?

Question: How is it that the dems, holding a majority in the house and in the ethics committee, didn't just sweep this under the rug like everything else? The ethics committee is the only committee where membership is evenly split between R's and D's. The chairman is always from the majority party, but the membership is always evenly split. That is why it would take at least one Republican to agree to a deal with Charley...

Does Rangel have a GOP opponent in the General Election on Nov. 2? Psssst. Rangel is Harlem's Congressman.
A GOP challenger would be guaranteed single-digits. Or less...
