Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Saturday shows that 25% of the nation's voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as president. Forty-five percent (45%) Strongly Disapprove, giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -20

Ras has been the most accurate pollster in the last few election cycles.

At least their election day polls, no one ever knows how accurate polls are 6 months to a year out... because there is no vote at those times.

well .... actually there are those who would vote Dem or Rep regardless IF they voted. But I would argue what decides elections is how many of those get off their butts and actually show up at the polls, and the mushy middle just goes along with whichever way the political wind is blowing on election day.

Due to the Electoral College, because Republican and Democrat voters dominate certain States, it is always those voters who could go either way who determine who wins.

Twenty twelve is a big test for those who love this country and are convinced that Obama is a danger to our Republic. If purity is going to be the test on the Right, we are dooming this Nation.

America may not survive a second Obama term.

The only criteria for 2012 should be a decent person, with decent view, who can win and send Obama packing

I think it’s called overexposure. Or, too much of a good thing ultmately becomes too much. Perhaps even some of the apparently brain dead are asking themselves why they don’t feel better after hearing The Great Orator lie through his commie teeth.

Surely they have to be wondering why they aren’t doing better. Which surprises me, given the vast quantities of stimulous “walk around” cash demrat operatives have at their disposal. Could it be they’re keeping it for themselves—A la the banks?

Overall, 44% of voters say they at least somewhat approve of the president’s performance. Fifty-six percent (56%) disapprove.

And if he was *entirely* white that 44% figure would be 25%.

Actually “any” person between the ages of 18-34 years old that votes Democrat has either been drinking Kool-Aid or smoking tons of reefer. POTUS Obama has been death on providing jobs and opportunities for young and old and...he has especially thrown Black youngsters under the bus, locking them into bad schools and little job opportunity. Too bad, these foolish people cannot grasp and hold the truth!!! Shame!!!! And......these folks have no idea how bad Obama and “their” Democrat Party have set them back!!!!

You know I have seen that Rasmussen chart a 1000 times, and for the light of me can not believe that he ever had a 15% disapproval rating. I guess 15% of the country are Freepers

That is a three point drop in approval in 24 hours.

Here are Obama’s job approval numbers for the 3 previous days:

July 28: 46
July 29: 46
July 30: 47

July 28 dropped off. To produce a 44% approval rating today the Friday sample had to yield somewhere around 42 or 43% in approval. Rapid response imho that the American people did not appreciate Obama’s appearance on the View.

It probably has more to do with his normalizing for the number of R’s, D’s and I’s.

R’s and D’s are probably consistent groups.

But I’s are all over the map. So I would expect that his numbers fluctuate because of shifts in the different classes of I’s that he polls

I would venture a guess that 90% of the Hollywierd elites approve of everything he is doing to America - Hollywierd is filled with America haters.

I did not mean to invalidate but more along the lines of question. He also took some serious heat from the Whitehouse and I think he operates under threat... I could be wrong but obama is capable of doing just that... in fact we know he regularly threatens dims. His sine wave polling bother me also... repeatable cycles within a 10 point range. Never in the History of political polling has anyone ever asked if someone "somewhat approves". What is with that? No one ever asked if anyone "somewhat approved" of Bush. I just do not trust scott and his father Carl was the best that there ever was.

This is a good point. Young people are not starting to be embarrassed by him also. So when he loses the cool vote, as well as the informed voters - he’s got his 12% base to fall back on, and that’s it. We need to keep hammering away strategically - starting with a huge, thundering smack down in November.

Time to take this country back!
