Good for the kid, but excuse me, diving into 4-5 feet of water??
Did he part the waters?
He was very fortunate. It looks like he will recover fully.
I’m guessing it’s probably not a mistake he’ll ever make again.
Jaysus, he’s lucky!
It says he’s likely to make a full recovery. Thank goodness, visions of Christopher Reeve flashed through my mind.
How many times do we have to be told? Don’t dive into murky water! You don’t know what you’ll hit!
The key thow is teach your children to swim. One year old and they should be able to go under the water and come back up on their own - Don’t leave them unattended if the obvious needs to be stated.
On diving into water, if you know how to dive, you can dive into 3 feet of water from considerable height, not just water level.
THE KEY is to teach your kids not to dive into 4 or 5 feet of water!
I guess the same could be said about letting your kid ride a dirt bike. You can insist they keep their tires on the ground or you can teach them how to ride (here there is a bit too much throttle in the air, pulling the rear wheel down).
If they learn how to dive into 4 or 5 feet of water - with the skill required to do it safely - you won't have to worry about them around water.
