This should be mandatory reading for all those morons who claim that the death penalty isn’t a deterrent. Giving this guy a life sentence was handing him a license to kill, even though in a confined place.

I remember reading about a guy in CA who had already been imprisoned for murder and then went on to kill, barbecue and eat his grandmother. He begged the prison board not to release him, because he knew he was going to kill again and he “felt as helpless as a puppy on the freeway.” But they released him and he killed his grandmother (as well as a local teenage girl) not long after that.
Some people just need to be put to death. Give them time to repent, bring in a priest or minister to officially forgive them, and they’ll die happy and we’ll be safe.
