Got lost in East Saint Louis back in the mid '80's trying to get a photo of the arch. Saw plenty of yardbirds and dirt roadways. Got the shot.
My best advice; don't do it.

I’m confused. I thought there was a lot of protest about the cops in the ‘hood. Some people are never satisfied.
More seriously, the good pastor will be correct if the cuts are deep and the populace remains unarmed and unorganized.

“The criminals are going to run wild.”
The criminals have been running wild. Voting some of them out of office would make things better...

"Its open field day now," said Tracy, the pastor of Straightway Baptist Church here."
It is the good rev. announcing a new discount day for funerals? ;-)_

Hell, as corrupt as East St. Louis is, it might be safer with 30% fewer cops.

Maybe the Pastor better get his flock together and take the ‘hood back.
They should have armed up and done this a long time ago. The sheeple have become too dependent on the police. It’s about time they got some guts to confront their wayward “brothers”.

How’s that precious diversity working out for you now LOL. Give BO another 4 years and we’ll all be wishing for life in E. St Louis after living in ‘Mad Max’ dysfunctional world.

Who knows - it might make the community more responsible - the game ‘we keep secrets from the cops’ might end when faces with the natural consequences of their choices...

Police never stop criminals they just harass the law abiding with their money making traffic stops.
Cutting the police force in half or more makes no difference to the real crime rate it would just make the population safer.
