All McConnell cares about is his fiefdom in Kentucky. If we expect him to exhibit conservative leadership we're mistaken.

No McConnell! The GOP needs to block Obama’s agenda at every turn and then replace the Socialist with a Conservative.

So far the GOP has failed to block a single Obama agenda and yet they continue to talk as though they've been fighting for Conservatives.

The Senate Minority Leader plans to gain voters by saying we could expect less spending and government interference and a renewed push to finish free trade deals. Where has this man been for the last two years?

With Republican leadership like this we will reelect the Democrats.

“McConnell: GOP Must Force Obama Back to Center”

Obama? Back to WHAT? Center? Center of what - the Soviet Union? Chicago?
Saul Alinsky’s “Rules For Radicals”? The middle of the book maybe?

The Bamster has so far been the best thing for the Rinocratic Oligarchy since the New Deal. Washington DC would LOVE to have this guy around another six years.

Oh, they get it. How could they not; since they are on the side of the Marxists.

These people will not be remembered as being great statesmen. They will be remembered in history if at all as the scum and trash they are. Their children and children’s children will bear the brunt of what they are doing and have done and will have to hide in a life time of shame.

“Their children and children’s children will bear the brunt of what they are doing ...”

Ehh...OUR children will do so.

I was the beneficiary of the consequences of an ancestor who took issue with George III’s conduct toward the colonies.
We the People had better start considering that our descendants will rightly hold US responsible for their misery.

Perception = reality.

Obama won because enough of the voting public believed the claims by his campaign and the MSM that he was a moderate/centrist (post-racial, etc). If he had actually run on the policies he's enacted, there's absolutely no way he could have won.

So ... what is the voting public now going to be more receptive to? Feeding them cod oil by telling them that they were morons who didn't do their due diligence in casting their votes?

Or that Obama has 'strayed' (even using the word 'lied', although true, is too harsh for John and Jane Q. Voter to stomach) from what he said he was going to do and needs to be pushed back to where he was prior to being elected?

"AND.......just how did we get into this position in the first place !!

And ......... that is exactly the point that should be driven home to the public repeatedly above all else at every kind group gathering and let NO politician off the hook for their culpability in this mess!!

Wrong, Mitch. Republican's need to win the House and Senate by DECISIVE majorities and impeach the son of a bitch Obama for violationg the United States Contitution by:

1. Siezing control of General Motors and Chrysler, violating centuries of contract law by giving majority control to the UAW and screwing tens of thousands of shareholders out of their investment illegally;

2. Government take-over of Health Care, forcing all American's to buy health care insurance in violation of the 10th Amendment, which gives all powers to the States and expressly limits the power of the Federal Government; Also violates Article V which gives state legislatures the power to require Congress to convene a convention to propose an amendment to the Constitution. If two-thirds of state legislatures demand an amendment barring the federal regulation of health insurance or an individual mandate, Congress would be constitutionally bound to hold a convention;

3. Failure to protect and defend our National borders. We've all seen by now the signs posted by the Federal Government 80 miles INSIDE the borders of Arizona declaring areas "unsafe for travel" due to illegal immigration, drug trafficking, human trafficking and kidnappings. Obama's also ordered the Justice Department to sue Arizona for passing SB-1070.

And these are just the first three I can think of off the top of my head on my first cup of coffee this morning.......

Force him to the center so that he can win reelection by positioning himself as a check on Republican rule? Great strategy.

The big mistake of the Republican Congressional take-over in 1994 is that Gingrich, Armey and the rest actually tried to "rule" ... giving Clinton the opportunity to tack right, "triangulate" and create the perception that he was acting, as you say, as a "check" on what they were trying to do.

I don't see Boehner doing that. First, I don't think he has the stones for it (neither does Mitch), but also because it's proven bad strategy (from the 1990s).

Positioning themselves as trying to "help" Obama "back" to the center is the right approach imho, because it gives Obama enough rope to hang himself (politically) without being seen as the ones actually building the gallows and walking up to pull the lever.

McConnell is clueless and has exactly zero strategic or tactical sense. The only time he gets fired up and fights is when it has to do with his personal perogatives.

"We're on offense," he said. If you have to say it, you aren't.

“McConnell: GOP Must Force Obama Back to Center”

The pubbies still don’t get it. Obama is a socialist/Marxist pure and simple. He does not believe in American ideals or the culture of the country. He must be voted/or impeached out of office.
