But youll have a hell of a time finding it at either USA Today or at Gallup, which partnered with the newspaper for the poll. The USA Today lead on the survey is that approval for the war in Afghanistan has dropped since the Wikileaks exposure of internal documents from the military, and that decline is notable, a 12-point plummet in just five months from 48% to 36% approval. But they buried the real lead, which is that Obama is now struggling to keep his approval ratings in the 40s (via Jim Geraghty):
"Public support for President Obamas Afghanistan war policy has plummeted amid a rising U.S. death toll and the unauthorized release of classified military documents, a USA TODAY/Gallup Poll shows. Support for Obamas management of the war fell to 36%, down from 48% in a February poll. Now, a record 43% also say it was a mistake to go to war there after the terrorist attacks in 2001."
Meanwhile, in the fifth paragraph:
"Only 41% of those surveyed Tuesday through Sunday approved of the way Obama is handling his job, his lowest rating in the USA TODAY/Gallup Poll since he took office in January 2009. In Gallups separate daily tracking poll, his approval was at 45% Monday."
Thats still better than Gallup, which reports this in the final paragraph before the conclusion.

In a comparable survey, USA Today found that 45% of Americans believe that UFOs are operated by Santa Claus, that the tooth fairy drives a flying miniature Bentley, and that wolfing down a can of spinach will make your muscles swell to the size of sledge hammers.
This has not gotten much play but in the Gallup weekly summary (based on the average of the results of the previous week in the Gallup daily tracking poll) Gallup pegged Obama’s job approval with Hispanics at 48%. It was 55% the week before.
That’s an all-time low folks: 48%, for any reputable pollster.
If you don’t remember, Obama got 66% of the Hispanic vote in 2008.

Managing a 7-11 is above most politicians.
His bottom level of support is probably in the upper 30s.
On come you people. Didn’t you hear The Marxist fraud tell us the Iraq War is over, millions of new jobs were creatred by stimulous and the economy is getting better—albeit slowly.
You people just cannot stand all the good news.
You’re right. I can’t stand good news.....especially while my country is falling apart, our President is a Marxist and our Congress are all crooks.
This is quite remarkable considering that it was approved overwhelmingly by congress with only one member voting no.
Way, way too high. We've got to do more networking. Everything helps. The truth about Oboma is slowly coming to the surface, but we can't stop now. There's still lots of work to do.

GOOD - Tomorrow we’ll do Nancy Pelosi!
“Frankly, I am disappointed that 41% still support him. We have many brain dead people in this country.”
Well keep in mind that 45% of the people in this country pay no income tax at all. None, nada. It’s interesting to see how close these numbers are.
It doesn't?
